A Mistake Mate novel Chapter 46

"Hey Paisley. I see that he finally manned up." He said motioning towards my mark. A tender smile made its way into my face and I nodded my head.

"Yeah he did." I stated the obvious. Cole laughed and shook his head.

"I was afraid that he wasn't going to do it and mess up the date that we planned." Cole said with a smirk. I frowned and looked at him questioningly.

"We planned?" I questioned. Cole nodded his head.

"Yeah me, Dylan and Blake practically planned the whole thing." He added with a proud smirk. I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"Course you did." I said. Cole laughed before becoming serious.

"But really though I'm so happy for you guys." He said truthfully before pulling me into a tight hug. I laughed and wrapped my arms around him. We had only been hugging for a few seconds when I heard a loud growl and I was torn away from Cole.

I gasped in shock and tried to look up but I was tightly smashed against my mates chest. My arms were pinned in between my body and Xander's and I couldn't move them because he was holding me to tightly.

"Mine." He growled out lowly. I could hear the power in his voice and I'm sure that Cole could feel it because I heard him gasp.

"Look man I wasn't trying anything, we were just hugging." Cole defended himself.

"Don't touch my mate." Xander growled out sounding even more angry then before.

"It's alright." I answered as I took his free hand in mine. He smiled over at me before turning his attention back to the rode. We drove for another twenty minutes before he turned off onto a small dirt rode that led into the woods. There was hundreds of cars already parked in the large clearing and even more people gathered a few feet away.

It was quit strange seeing the two packs mixed together. I mean its not like the packs didn't get along but we have never had any joined meetings or get togethers. Xander quickly climbed out of the car before opening my door and helping me out. He clasped my small hand in his larger one before tugging me towards the large group.

From the looks of it all members of both packs were present and I spotted both mine and Xander's parents stood towards the front of the clearing. They were with quit a few other people who I soon recognized as Uncle Josh and aunt Lilly, Seth's parents. Alice, Lela's mom. Justin and Nina, Coles parents and Jace and Julie, Dylan and Blake's parents.

Nobody seemed to notice that we had arrived which was strange because our scents were very strong seeing as we were both alphas and mates. I spotted my trio of friends a few feet away but they didn't see me. Xander led me towards the group of adults that were surrounding our parents and pulled me to a stop when we were right in front of me.

They all turned to look at us. Our parents had proud smiles on there faces but all of the other adults that I had grown up close to looked absolutely shocked. I guess that nobody knew what this meeting was about. There mouths were hanging open as there eyes darted back and forth between us.
