"Why didn't you come to me sooner?" she murmured.

"I didn't want you to reject me..." I whispered, looking away from her eyes.

"Why would you think that?" she voice sounded hurt.

"I don't know..." I voice was trembling.

"Look at me," she demanded.

I did as I was told and looked back into her eyes. They held so much emotion.

"I don't even know your name..." I whispered.

"Well, I don't know yours either," she whispered right back.

"Micah," I replied, sounding more confident than I was.

"Micah..." she repeated.

My name coming from her lips made my insides melt and almost made my knees buckle. I look at her face more closely and notice she had a scar just above her left eye, running through her eyebrow, and down to her temple. My own warrior.

"Alia," my mate said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Alia," I repeated, like she did with me.

Her name was perfect like her. Why didn't I come to her sooner? Why was I so afraid of rejection? Why was I so stupid?

"Max is going to flip out if I don't take you to meet them..." I grinned as I watched her eyes widen.

"Max, you mean the Luna? Why would she want you to take me to her? Did I do something?" Alia sounding scared made me chuckle because she thought something bad was going to happen.

"Yes, Max the Luna, and no. Max is one of my best friends, so that makes her yours, too. Along with Geena and Hannah, my twin. You're part of the family now," I smiled at her.

"Really?"

"Really."

Next thing I know, Alia grabbed my face with her hands and crashed her lips down on mine.
