She rolled her eyes. Back when he used to run around with Fairfax, he always seemed so clueless. How did he find out about the pregnancy this fast? She hadn't planned on telling him at all. And take it out on him? What was the point when she was actively dumping him?

He was genuinely panicking now. The silent treatment was clearly breaking him down.

Standing by the curb, Tanya ignored him and tried to flag down a taxi. A sleek silver car abruptly pulled up right in front of her. Thinking it was a cab, she reached for the handle, only to freeze when the window rolled down.

Caden Larson peered out at her. "Ms. Mercer? What are you doing here?"

Tanya's stomach dropped. Given his close ties to Darian, this was definitely not a coincidence.

"Just... visiting a friend," she lied, glancing nervously at the hospital behind her.

"Are you waiting for a cab? Need a lift?"

"No, I'm good. Someone's coming to get me." She took a quick step back, eager to put distance between herself and Darian's inner circle.

Watching her visibly panic, Caden frowned and dialed Darian.
