"My patience is limited, and I don't have time to bicker with you. How about I give you one day to think it over?" Starla offered.

"What are you trying to pull?" Darian demanded.

"Since you delivered yourself right to my doorstep, it saves my people the trouble of breaking into your villa to get her out. It would've been an ugly scene."

Tanya had mentioned the heavy security Darian had put in place. Whether they tried sneaking her out or taking her by force, it would have been highly risky. Given that Tanya was pregnant—and even though she didn't want the baby—a violent clash could easily end up hurting her.

"So, do the smart thing and let Tanya go yourself," Starla concluded.

Darian had originally called to negotiate terms. Now, Starla was flat-out issuing demands.

"You know that's impossible!" Darian snapped without a second thought. He had never considered letting Tanya go. He didn't want her to leave.

"Don't be in such a rush to answer. Think it over carefully. After all, Yulisa's life is in my hands right now."

"You have one day. If you don't let Tanya go, you can go ahead and prepare for Yulisa's funeral."
