Adopted novel Chapter 78

Three weeks ago, I regained my lost memory, it wasn't a pleasant experience because I went back to the shell of a person I once was, the nightmares and the horrors that keeps not just I but everyone else awake when I scream bloody murderer every night.

I was told a part of my memory was gone due to the trauma of what I went through that night, I remembered the reason why I stepped out that night my first ever fight with Ameer after the death of Emma, I was rude and I acted like a bitch to him as much as I justify the incidence of that night as what I deserved due to what I did to my best friend who turned out to be my twin brother.

Ever since I regained my memory, the memory became more clearer I lived every detail to the last anytime I close my eyes which made my parents stop their work for the moment just to be with me, although a part of me wasn't ready to accept them because I had my first with Ameer because of them but another part of me saw their efforts ever since my adoption till this day and it all started to make sense.

Last week, we got a court order saying the culprits were caught and are presently in the police custody and the court requested for my presence to testify against them, dad and mom rejected immediately saying how do they expect me to face them after what they did to me but my therapist said it will help me heal and I might have peaceful sleep after seeing them.

Yesterday, we arrived in Texas with heavy security and my family and friends made sure I was not out of their sight, everyone left their companies and countries to support me including my fans whom I heard were also in Texas to support me while my friends' fans show their supports via social media platforms. #JusticeForDiamond became the top trend on all platform which I am very grateful for.

Today, I will be seeing the faces that torments my sleep and made me a shell of who I once was I dressed in a skinny black jean, brown singlet and a black long jacket pairing it up with a sneaker. I, my families (grandparents included), friends and their parents made our way to the court building with the entrance crowded by fans and paparazzies, we made our way inside the already filled up courtroom I looked towards the jury sections to see men and women who were all watching me with smiles on their faces, I took my seat in between my parents feeling secured immediately.

Few minutes later, the judge made his entrance we all stood up in respect and sat after he has taken his seat and the suspects were called upon, I felt my heart going very wild and anxiety was threatening to swallow me whole. I couldn't bring myself to look towards where they were placed and suddenly the huge court room that can pass as a ballroom become a very little box to me, I find myself trying to gasp for breath but it was getting difficult I finally forced myself to look at them and I couldn't help the scream that found itself out of my lips as I immediately ran out of the room like a mad person.

My families ran after me and they asked how I am and if I want to go back, I told them I only needed few times alone which was respected and it's been forty-five minutes since then, dad and his friends went back inside to explain my situation while mom, her friends, my brother and my friends stay behind to watch me carefully.

"As daring as your birth mother was, she always seeks comfort from her papa especially after a nightmare," I heard a voice said looking at the source of the voice, I found a man in his 80s looking very sharp in an expensive suit with two other younger men beside him.
