After dinner, Isabella and Harold headed straight to the movies.

Neither of them were regulars at the theater. For Isabella, going out to watch a film had always seemed like a luxury she couldn’t afford. She used to spend all her time locked in battles with Natalie. The only times she ever went was when Ethan invited her, but honestly, Ethan only ever cared about Natalie, so those invites were rare.

Harold was a different story. He was always caught up with work and barely had a moment to spare. And with a home theater as nice as his, why bother with crowded cinemas? If he ever wanted to watch something, he just did it at home.

Tonight was an exception. Before the movie started, Harold handed Isabella a giant bag of snacks.

She couldn’t help but laugh. “What’s with all this? I’m not a kid, you know.”

Harold grinned. “Just in case the movie’s a flop. At least you’ll have something to munch on if you get bored.”

“If it’s that bad, we can just leave halfway through. I never force myself to finish a movie I’m not enjoying.”

He nodded. “Yeah, the opening should grab you, the middle needs some excitement, and the ending either ties everything up or leaves you wanting more. That’s what I look for when I’m reviewing scripts.”

“For short-form dramas, things move even faster, though. The plot’s got to twist and turn nonstop, keep you on your toes.”

Harold laughed. “You’re the expert. I just tag along for the ride. As long as we work together and make some money, I know you’ll share the profits.”

Isabella shrugged, a little smile playing on her lips. “Honestly, I just got lucky with timing. My company’s going to scale back on these series soon, but we can still work with others, help promote their stuff, and make a profit. The market’s getting crowded, though. Even now it’s nothing like it was at the start of the year.”
