Althea set Limestone Valley to attack a village west of Voumi for the next round of wars.

Since Voumi—er, Ceramica—was now a subsidiary, they did not have to assault its subsidiaries anymore, either, for the most part anyway. This was done manually because territories, unless they were satellites, were treated independently.

An ally of a territory didn’t necessarily mean they were an ally to an allied territory as well, after all.

However, since Ceramica was completely under their control, most of Voumi’s associated territories were also obedient. For one, they obediently returned every Terran they had, without pay.

Many grumbled a lot, but what could they do? They were sandwiched between two towns!

As for the punishment of those who harmed Terrans, it was still up for debate. Many of these people were not good people, but it was also debatable if they were going to act like the messengers of justice, belatedly punishing people for hurting their people, especially when they were willing to return the Terrans who had survived.

In the end, the Elders decided it was too overreaching. Rescuing from war was one thing, but technically, these subsidiaries had already surrendered. They also didn’t want to act so vindictively as a group, as they did not believe Terrans as a race were different or superior to others. Rather, it was a dangerous thought to let simmer.

However, they did not stop the Terrans in doing their own revenge for the suffering that happened to them, punishing the people who wronged them personally, as long as they did not do it in the name of a race or a territory.

This was something for later, of course. For now, the newly rescued Terrans were focusing on recovery, and then they would shift to finding friends and family, all of which was made convenient by the alliance’s infrastructure.

They were also making these newly-surrendered aborigines search for the people they sold Elementalists to. They had probably lost hundreds in the span of the past month in this area, which was unavoidable as Alterra could not be omnipresent. Still, they hoped to at least trace the location of a portion.

The original Terran territories taken over by Voumi and their subsidiaries had also been returned. This was the same case with Flaret Town, which had taken over a number of territories North of Alterra at the peak of its wealth.

They really never found the drug scientist, though. It was amazing how she escaped. They reckoned she used the array somehow. They found traces of another version of a beast repellent in her laboratory. Although not as pure or effective as Althea’s, and definitely not the collaboration with Hoffen, it was still effective enough for them to believe she could’ve survived.
