Alana novel Chapter 77

Alana's POV

I was peacefully reading when a very expected cry, pierces through the room. I look to where my little boy and little girl were interacting, Storm patted Nami's head in an attempt to calm her as she cried for me. Soon, tears from him come falling and I smile adoringly walking towards them both.

"What's wrong?" I kneel in front of them and Storm sniffs looking at his two-year-old sister with his tear-filled eyes.

"We miss daddy." He pouts and I pull both of them into my arms.

Aiden had about three more hours until work was over, and today was Saturday so I didn't have work.

"Let's go visit him. Who's up to see daddy?"

Nami's cries silence and she bursts out in happiness, tears still ringing through her eyes.

Storm, was silent, his soft curls falling onto his round face.

"Storm baby?" I call and he looks up at me. "You okay?"

"Yes..." He murmurs and I frown, grabbing my keys and heading towards the car.

"I don't care." Was the first thing we heard as we entered his office, his grin was wide and he hung up, not even bothering to say farewell to the person on the line.

"My babies!" He stands walking towards us and Nami danced excitedly in my arms. I secretly admired his newly grown beard as he took Nami from me.

She babbled happily at him, screaming 'Dada', pulling at his curls and he chuckled kissing her chubby cheeks.

"How's my little bundle?" He coos and she grins acting as if she understands. Her slightly frizzy, but tamed curls messy from lack of being brushed today. Blame her. Anytime I pull the brush out, she's gone.

I nudge Storm towards his father but he simply stays latched to my lap.

Noticing this, Aiden frowns, just like I did, and picks him up.

"What's the matter, buddy?" Storm looks at Nami sadly before leaning towards his father's ears. Before I know it, a conversation had burst between the two and Nami and I just stared at them crazily.

"Ehem." Aiden clears his throat. "This little guy-"

"I can't make baby Nami happy." He pouts and tears spring to his eyes.

"Aww." I coo and Nami tilts her head upon hearing her name. "No baby, she just missed daddy...she loves you."
