"Really? But you're so pretty and have a brain. Unlike the other girls at this school." I shrug to her comment and we walk into the school.

I wish I wasn't so possessive. I know she needs space, but my alpha genes are too strong. They'll cool down a little after I fully mate her. That's a long time from now. She may not even let me... That thought crushed my heart. I could only hope that she would let me someday.

"Hey John." I said seeing my long time friend.

"Is it that easy to see that I'm in distress?" I asked.

"It is! Damn... That means that shes off the market..." He said jokingly.

"Yeah. I don't know what to do. I want her so bad and I keep pushing her away." I said shamefully.

"Ash listen I know Fay likes you. I can see it in her eyes." John said trying to make me feel better.

"Dude of course! I'm like your brother of course I'm helping. I already have a plan..."

"What is it?" I was depressed now.

"OK all you have to do is make her feel special. Or make her jealous."

"OK just tell me."

"OK a mate is something all werewolves and humans have. Werewolves are more primitive so its easier for us to find ours. Humans rarely find their true soul mate. Werewolves can have either a human mate or werewolf mate. Same with humans. Only alphas can only have a werewolf mate. Because they need to keep their bloodlines as clean as possible. A mate is someone who will love you forever and will do anything for you. You and Jason are mates." By the time I was done with my ramble on mates I was breathless.

"OK let me get this straight my mate is Jason?" She asked.

"Yes. That's the reason why I was asking you."

"OK that makes sense." Lydia said.

"Yeah..."

"So you ready to make Ash jealous?" Lydia asked. I knew she was going to like this. She is after all possibly my best friend now.

"Yeah!" I said as we high fived.

I sat on Jason and whispered my plan. He smiled and nodded his head. I guess we all wanted to annoy Ash. He did deserve it though. Plus I wanted to win.
