Since the man's family members had been nagging him for being single, he told them he had found someone who he wanted to be with. They went chaotic after hearing his words, as if their hearing had gone bad.

However, his father quickly asked who it was that had captured the attention of his son. After telling them it was Wu Xingxie, his mother cried tears of joy. They contacted the Wu family and since Master Wu wanted the connections of the other 4 families, he gladly offered her to them.

To get to Qinghai, the normal way was by carriage or walking, but Wu Xingxie and Wei were both cultivtors capable of magic and they wanted to get there fast.

"Don't you have a Spirit Animal?" He asked the male dressed in a basic brown robe.

Wu Xingxie, who had chosen the name Mu Ye replied in her new voice,

"I do, but I rarely use it."

Mu Ye was taller than Wu Xingxie and despite his average face, his voice was also very soothing. To others, he was less appealing than Wei since the latter was dashingly handsome.

"Well, use it so we can get there faster."

He suggested and although Mu Ye thought it was burdensome, he reluctantly summoned his Spirit Animal.

Wei's eyes opened wide when he saw the creature. With no limbs or wings, how were they going to travel? The creature glowed brightly, slowly slithering near its owner.

It's skin was red as blood, with eyes the color of gold. A hissing sound came from it's mouth and the serpent began to speak.

"Master, who is this man?"

Although Wu Xingxie had taken on a different look, the serpent could still tell who she was. Wu Xingxie hadn't summoned him in years so the serpent was oblivious to who she had met.

"Is he your husband?" The serpent blurted, a smug smile on it's lips.

Mu Ye glared at it not to speak carelessly. The serpent was unaware that she had went back in time and believed she was already married.

Before Mu Ye could answer, Wei spoke first,

"Impossible. A guard like me, how can I be the Eldest Miss's lover?"

The serpent seemed a bit disappointed as it looked at Wu Xingxie confused.

"You can take us to Qinghai, right?" Mu Ye changed the topic. Since it would take a day long to get to Qinghai, using a Spirit Animal was more efficient for traveling. Everyone has their own Spirit Animal which varies from each individuals.

Wei was surprised Wu Xingxie's was a serpent because snakes weren't liked by anyone at all. They were looked down upon by other animals and humans as well as immortals. For Wu Xingxie, she didn't feel anything for the serpent. Even in her life before, she kept it in the magical realm and had no use for it.

Most people name their Spirit Animals but Wu Xingxie still had not given him a name.

He was obedient and didn't complain once. Going out was great sometimes. Wu Xingxie could explore the continent more and familiarize the different places.

As they walked, Mu Ye found himself admiring the beautiful nature and it made her regret not going out so much in her original life.

After a few minutes of walking, two ended up in a small hut in the middle of the forest.

Who is this friend?

Wei knocked on the door and after a while, the door opened.

Mu Ye froze behind Wei as he laid eyes on the friend standing before them.

Wei's friend was a few inches taller and wore a dark blue robe with beautiful gold embroideries on it. His long white hair could clearly be seen as it reflected light off from it. His eyes seemed lifeless but his lips gave a small smile, defining his cheekbones. The man was equally handsome as Wei but he had an air of elegance. Wei was a guard who had been to war, so he gave off manly vibes, but the friend gave off a warm vibe that would attract people and animals alike.

His clothed seemed very expensive and his skin was well taken care of. Seeing a man like this, any woman would envy his looks because he was simply too beautiful.

Of course, Wu Xingxie was different. She didn't freeze because of the man's handsomeness. It was because he was none other than Hu Jiayi!

Wu Xingxie, calm down. You are Mu Ye, a male now. He never met you in the future, so how could he possibly know you?
