Wu Xingxie entered the estate, heading straight to Madam Gu's chambers only to see her in the garden. She was sitting at a table smiling, drinking tea and chatting with a man.

She couldn't see his face as his back faced her but he seemed very familiar.

"Doctor, you've received my letter?"

"Come, sit down and meet a friend of mine." Madam Gu insisted, gesturing for her to take a seat. Wu Xingxie complied, and when she looked up, her eyes were met with the man's own. For the first time, she was seeing his face.

Looking at him, he was indeed godly handsome, but she didn't care much about his looks. She just wanted to see how he appeared, be it good or bad seeing as she encountered him quite a few times.

"Ling, this is my Doctor." Madam Gu introduced and he politely bowed.

She then turned to Wu Xingxie and introduced the male.

"Doctor, this is Ling, a friend of mine."

"Ling? That's a pretty common name but I know someone scary who is named that." Wu Xingxie had a slight smirk when she said this.

Madam Gu understood what she meant but looked at Bao Ling in case he was offended. Only, his face was ice cold and he simply nodded.

"Madam Gu, this man couldn't possibly be the Demon King of the Bao clan right?"

Wu Xingxie asked almost making Madam Gu forget that he had asked her to hide his identity.

"O-Of course not! The Demon King is scary like you said. I couldn't possibly know him." Madam Gu stuttered and Wu Xingxie didn't want to seem like she was bullying her so she stopped prying on the subject.

"Alright, it's not him."

"What's your name, Doctor?" Bao Ling asked out of nowhere.

"Ling, that's...." Madam Gu knew the female

also wanted to hide her identity so she was prepared to explain when Wu Xingxie cut in.

"Nice to meet you, I am Wu Xingxie." She stood up, reached for the back of her head and untangled the strings of her veil.

Slowly, Wu Xingxie took it off and smiled at the man. Seeing her smile at him, he almost smiled back as his fingers twitched around the cup he held.

Madam Gu's eyes enlarged when she heard the female say her name.

"W-What did you say?"

"W-What did you say?" Madam Gu asked almost as if she misheard the girl.

Wu Xingxie looked at her with the same smile,

"My name is Wu Xingxie. I'm sure you know who I am right?"

Madam Gu nearly fainted.

Her enemy's daughter had been the one scheming with her?

I must be hallucinating due to my pregnancy.

"He's also a virgin."

Madam Gu whispered into her ears making Wu Xingxie create a weird expression.

What was wrong with that? If I wasn't a virgin, I wouldn't have been able to travel back at all.

"Not only that, he loves children so I think he would want to have lots of them!"

"Alright, I guess he's not bad." Wu Xingxie admitted since not many people liked kids these days. Men only had children to continue their bloodline while women gave birth to the favor of their husband.

"Does he know about this though?" Wu Xingxie asked the important question. If General Tang was unaware, then she would not go through with it at all.

"Of course! I told him multiple times when he was in the north that I'd find him a wife if he returned." Madam Gu loved being a matchmaker when she was not busy with her plans of revenge. Her family was famous for its matchmaking experience after all. Many couples have ended up together and lasted, so they made a ton of wealth from the matchmaking business.
