Why is he dressing like a servant?
She asked internally and thought perhaps he liked General Tang?
She knew the Demon King didn't allow females to work in his manor so it was possible he liked men, right?
Although she didn't believe in rumors, she thought he wasn't staring at her but her groom.
Bao Ling likes General Tang?
Wu Xingxie stifled a snicker and recomposed herself.
A few hours passed and the ceremony finally ended with the guests leaving to a hall for reception.
As the bride couldn't be seen, Yuyan had to bring Wu Xingxie to the wedding chambers which were decorated with banners and flags.
The manor was decorated beautifully, amazing Yuyan who awed at the sight. She was surprised they did all this in just a month for it took years to plan a wedding.
"Eldest Miss, you're married now......" Yuyan stated sadly, her lips pouting.
"Technically, we're not since it hasn't been consummated. We don't plan on doing that so sooner or later, we'll divorce." Wu Xingxie revealed that once her revenge was accomplished, she'd divorce General Tang who agreed since he had nothing to lose.
It was evening when Yuyan led Wu Xingxie into the newlyweds' chambers. Sadness filled her heart but the ceremony was finished, she was the wife of Tang Yanan.
All that's left was for the consummation of the bride and groom. Thinking of this, Yuyan blushed as red as a tomato helping Wu Xingxie sit on the bed.
Despite what was supposed to happen, Wu Xingxie remained rather calm like she didn't care.
She had never had sex before but she was not embarrassed by the thought of it at all. After all, it was part of human nature. Without sex, how could people be born?
Furthermore, she and General Tang had agreed that they would not lay a finger on each other during the night. Only in the morning would they take off their clothes to fool the old servant who had to make sure they did consummate their marriage.
Wu Xingxie watched as Yuyan reluctantly walked towards the door. Opening it, the girl left with a depressed smile on her face.
An hour passed, and Wu Xingxie took off her veil as there was no one to keep an eye on her. She glanced around cautiously before standing up on her feet.
"Who's there?" Wu Xingxie demanded as the guests should have left. It wasn't General Tang and the presence she felt was unfamiliar.
Without warning, Wu Xingxie felt a strong force push against her body, knocking her onto the bed.
It was so sudden she didn't have time to react as the candles in the room went completely out. Left in pitch darkness, Wu Xingxie regained her composure and summoned her sword.
Who or what attacked her didn't show themselves.
At least not yet.
Keeping her guard up, Wu Xingxie created a force shield around the room so that no one who had no martial arts skills could enter.
"Show yourself." She demanded in a stern voice.
Focusing on her surroundings, Wu Xingxie closed her eyes and felt the presence right behind her.
"Impossible!" Wu Xingxie saw no one when she turned. Of course it was a trap for when she turned around, a hand hit her pressure points.
A beautiful woman on the sand, her eyes twitching as she slowly gained conscious. Fingers moving ever so slightly, the woman felt
her soaked wedding attire stuck against her skin.
Unknownst to her, a man watched her while admiring her features, wanting to caress her cheeks.
It took a long time, but the woman managed to open her eyes. As soon as she did so, the scorching sun blinded her eyes, instantly making them shut. She turned her head sideways, not caring about the sand under her.
Strangely, the woman's entire body was tired. She felt like someone or something had drained all her energy since she couldn't get up at all.
"Are you alright?" She heard a voice ask.
It was familiar, yet unfamiliar at the same time. She wanted to see who the man was so the woman opened her eyes once again. She was greeted by a man gazing at her with warmth. The man had a bright smile, lying next to her.
She immediately recognized him as the face she had been seeing in different places.
With black short hair and an opened robe exposing nearly all of his torso, Wu Xingxie's eyes stopped at the tattoo of a dragon's head on his right shoulder.
She studied it for a while before realizing who the man really was. Wu Xingxie tried to move away, but the man pulled her closer by the waist. One wanted to get away from the other. The other wanted the first one all to himself.
"You...." Wu Xingxie never thought out of anyone, it was him.
"You know me?" His smile turned into a smirk as he looked into her surprised orbs.
Wu Xingxie didn't answer as she wanted to teleport, but found herself unable to.
