"Am I paying you all that money just so you can let anyone in?"

Julian was the first to speak, his voice directed at the bodyguards who had rushed in. The usually carefree and charming man's tone had dropped several degrees, a clear sign of his anger.

The bodyguards, some of whom were injured, didn't dare to speak, merely lowering their heads in acknowledgment of their failure.

Julian then turned to Adrian. "Mr. Blackwell, barging into my home with men from Grey Zone... have you considered the implications for your siblings' positions? The Blackwell family has a lot of eyes on it. The slightest misstep could lead to your ruin."

Adrian's gaze, however, was fixed on Isabel—or more precisely, on the five-or-six-year-old boy clinging to her.

He knew she couldn't have any more children. And even if she could, there was no way she could have produced a boy this old in such a short time. He didn't look like Julian, either. So why was he calling her 'Mommy'?

Oliver had the same question, but unlike Adrian, he didn't keep it to himself. "Mom, who is he? Why is he calling you Mommy?"

Edmund could see the resemblance between Oliver and Isabel. And from the way he yelled 'Mommy,' it was easy to deduce that he was likely Isabel's son. Despite this certainty, Edmund still turned to Isabel and asked, "Mommy, who are they?"

Isabel's expression had turned icy the moment she saw Adrian and Oliver. She showed no emotion, not even when Oliver called out to her with such desperate excitement. She didn't seem to find the situation, with two children calling her mother, the least bit strange.

"I don't know them," she said coldly.

Julian stepped forward. "Mr. Blackwell, while you may have the protection of Grey Zone, any conflict here that gets back to your country could be detrimental to the Blackwell family."

"So, I trust I won't have to ask you to leave."

Adrian gave Isabel one last, deep look before turning to leave with Oliver. But Oliver was unwilling, though he was no match for a grown man's strength.

"Dad, aren't we taking Mom with us?" he asked unhappily.

"Not yet," Adrian replied.
