It was her birthday, too.

She wondered if she was fated to be entangled with Selena for the rest of her life.

Even their birthdays were on the same day.

"What the..." Amanda's eyes went wide. Leo had shown her a picture of Oliver when he and Oliver had gotten into a fight.

She knew Oliver was Isabel's son.

And his last name was Blackwell.

There was only one Blackwell family in Westbridge.

"So this is the real reason you're getting a divorce."

She had thought it was because Isabel had finally given up on trying to warm Adrian's heart of stone.

Isabel lowered her gaze. Compared to Amanda's shock, she was remarkably calm. "Let's go."

Amanda had planned to celebrate Isabel's birthday today.

She never expected something like this.

"If you had told me earlier, we could have taken the next elevator."

They were all riding in Dylan's car, with Isabel and Amanda in the back. Isabel forced a faint smile. "Don't worry about it. I'm getting a divorce; what they do doesn't bother me anymore."

A husband could be replaced.

Men.

If one didn't work out, you could always find another.

There were plenty of fish in the sea, after all.

She glanced at the driver's seat.

There was one right in front of her.

But a child...

To avoid bringing up painful memories, Amanda dropped the subject.

"Tonight, you can do whatever you want. It's on me!"

"My husband's business has been booming lately, he's made a lot of money."

Isabel's lips curved into a smile. "Then I won't be polite."

Amanda replied, "You never have to be polite with me."

Selena's eyes softened. "You never let me lift a finger."

Adrian replied, "If you hadn't been so quick, I would have cut it for you."

Selena shot him a playful look.

Just then, a swarm of drones appeared in the night sky outside, forming various words.

The most dazzling of them all read—Happy Birthday Selena.

The hot pot restaurant where Isabel was, diagonally across the river, also had a view of this sky through its windows.

At first, she hadn't noticed, too focused on her food.

She had been on a restricted diet for a while and was craving hot pot.

It was Amanda who saw it, her face turning ugly as she stared out the window, even dropping her chopsticks.

Only then did Isabel look up.

But she looked away after just a glance.

She called a waiter over for a new pair of chopsticks and handed them to Amanda.

Amanda said, her voice full of sympathy, "I may not be able to afford a drone light show for you, but I can get you anything else. Just tell me, what do you want?"
