To avoid being targeted by ill-intentioned people.

So she had nothing to post.

The last post she had made was on her wedding day.

Because of their secret marriage, she had set it to be visible only to herself.

Isabel deleted that post.

Dylan was the first to comment: [Ugly, just like you]

Then came Amanda: [Cute]

There were a few others she didn't recognize, people she must have added at some point.

She had no memory of the profile pictures that liked her post.

But since there was no malice, she didn’t feel right deleting them.

What if they were from Westbridge’s elite circles? It was better not to offend anyone, so she just ignored them.

She replied to Amanda and Dylan.

For the former, a blushing smiley face. For the latter, a bomb emoji.

After that, she went home, took a hot shower, and lost herself in a book.

After Isabel left, Adrian also went out.

Martha’s table full of food went cold, with Oliver having only taken a few bites.

This house, though Adrian was rarely home before, had at least felt like a home.

Now, it was fractured and desolate.

...

Adrian went to a club owned by a friend.

Henry happened to have added Isabel at some point; he couldn’t remember how.

The moment he saw Adrian, he held out his phone. “She’s out here posting lovey-dovey stuff on her feed. Is your divorce final?”

Adrian glanced at the screen, his expression neutral, seemingly uninterested.

Henry lost interest. “You’re a rare sight today. What made you decide to come out for drinks with us? Not keeping your dear Selena company?”

Adrian replied, “She’s busy lately.”

“Oh, so that’s how it is.” Henry drew out the words, clinking his glass against Adrian’s with a knowing look. “So, is the divorce done?”

“You seem more eager than I am.” The lighting in the private room was dim, obscuring Adrian’s handsome face, but the low pressure around him was palpable. “What, you want to marry me?”

During this year-end period, the Blackwell Group was also busy.

She had called Daniel to check Adrian’s schedule, hoping to find time for the divorce.

Although Adrian had made that demand last time, she felt it was just his way of being difficult.

He was convinced she had been spreading the news of their divorce.

Several days had passed, so she decided to push a little.

Even if he was annoyed, the divorce couldn’t be postponed indefinitely.

At first, Daniel didn't answer her calls, but after she kept trying, he finally picked up yesterday.

He spoke quickly, clearly busy.

As the special assistant, he was always on the go.

“Mrs. Blackwell, I think it would be best if you discussed this after the New Year.”

Isabel had no choice but to agree. “Thank you.”

After hanging up with Isabel, Daniel looked at the man exuding a cold aura across from him. “Mr. Blackwell, I’ve told her what you instructed.”

“Good.”
