York finished pouring his drink, poured one for himself, and let out a sigh. "Man, I admire you. I'm barely hanging on. I really wish my brother could take over the day after tomorrow."

Beasley looked up. "How is your brother doing?"

York set the bottle down, a relieved smile finally forming on his face. "He's already in physical therapy, but it'll be another six months before he can walk normally without crutches."

Beasley nodded. "As long as he recovers."

"Hell yeah!" York's smile grew brighter. "And in six months, we'll have two things to celebrate. Just thinking about it puts me in a good mood!"

"What two things?" Beasley picked up his glass and took a slow sip, his voice deep and lazy. "Besides your brother getting back on his feet, what else is there to celebrate?"
