"I eventually got home and told my father what happened and he ran to her with 10 pack warriors with him. He came back hours later furious. He told me there was no sign of her anywhere and there was no scents. He locked himself away in his office and if he wasn't there, he was out looking for her."

"He gave up eventually and married again. Her name was Kiera and she had two twin daughters, Layla and Hazel. I don't know much about their past but what I do know is that Kiera's mate died in a rogue attack. Anyways, for the next 11 years Jacob, Kiera and Layla would abuse me and use me as their slave. The Alpha and pack members would treat me the same way also but it was mainly Jacob and Kiera. Hazel was the only person who showed me any kindness in that pack. She treated me kindly, brought me food or clothes when she could and tried to stop the abuse if possible. I know it wasn't much but it meant the world to me that she was kind to me" I continued and smiled at the thought of Hazel.

"So while that was happening something else was too. I'm sure you already guessed that I was abused?" I asked as I looked up at him. He nodded in reply while a small frown was on his lips.

"But what you didn't know, until recently, is what else was happening and not everyone was aware of except for Jacob and the Beta. This punishment I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. This punishment is what caused me to go completely mute and why I wanted to develop our relationship slowly" I paused and took a deep breath.

"It started when I was 15. Jacob and the Beta came back to the house furious. I don't know why and I still don't but I made it worse because I hadn't finished cleaning the house. Jacob grabbed me by my hair and pulled me down to the torture room in the basement. They beat me for hours. When they finally stopped, Jacob left. I could barely move or keep my eyes open so the Beta carried me to my room. After he put me on the bed I thought he left b-but he didn't. H-he" I stopped as a sob bubbled in my throat.

I began sobbing and tightened my arms around Noah's neck as I cried into his neck. I felt his arms tighten around me but I also felt his body shaking. I looked up and saw his jaw was locked and his eyes flashing between his emerald green ones and his wolf's golden ones.

"Noah calm down" I begged as I cupped his face in my hands, hoping to calm him.

"How can I calm down. My mate has been abused for years and I wasn't there to protect you. That sorry excuse of a Beta touched what's mine. How can I calm down when I didn't protect you when you needed it most" he said through gritted teeth.

"Noah you didn't know. You didn't even know who I was then. It's ok Noah. I know you didn't protect me then but you are now. I haven't been happy for years but I am now. Now that I have you I'm happy. You accepted me as your mate even when I was weak and hurt. You've helped me so much Noah. I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for you" I told him softly as I rested my forehead against his.

"Well if that's how you plan on calming me down from now on, I'm going to get angry more often" he chuckled. I smiled and pecked his lips.

When I went to pull away he put his hand on the back of my head and pulled me closer to him. I kissed him back and his hand trailed down my back before settling on my hip.

He groaned as I tugged his hair lightly and tightened his hold on my hip. He nipped at my bottom lip making me gasp. He used that opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth making me moan. He groaned and moved me carefully so I was lying on the bed with him hovering over me.

He pulled away and let a trail of kisses until reaching my neck. My breathing was heavy and fast by now and Tala was going crazy in my head. Noah placed wet kisses along my neck, nipping the skin in different places. I moaned loudly when he reached a certain spot on my neck.
