"They will love you. Oh, and by the way don't be intimidated by all the guys at the house, none of the others have found their mates, at least that I know of. It might be a bit rowdy when we get there just warning you just in case."
"Jay don't worry about it. I've been surrounded by guys my entire life. My brother wouldn't ever let me leave his sight while I was growing up. I think I can handle a few rowdy boys when I have had to practically take care of a whole pack of rambunctious men my entire life." I say to him honestly.
He growls slightly at the part where I was surrounded by men all the time. I giggled at him and he growls a little louder and I can't help it as I burst into laughter. I lean back into my seat as the car speeds faster down the road. I try not to think about how fast we are going, because I know if I do I will get car sick. I tend to get car sick when I go on long road trips if I'm not asleep. I can feel my stomach growing uneasy already.
"Jay can you please slow down a little bit?" I ask him holding a hand over my mouth as if it will settle my stomach.
He looked at me worriedly and slowed down considerably. I let out a little groan as my stomach starts rolling. I put my face against the cold glass with the air conditioning blowing on it and my hot face.
I look over to see Jay glancing at me in concern. "Jay can you stop the car for a few minutes please." I demanded him because I don't think I can handle riding in the car much longer.
He stops the car almost immediately on the side of the road. I open the door and walk outside to get some air. Jay walks around the car and stands beside me. He puts his hands on my shoulder and looks into my eyes.
"Sorry sometimes I get car sick if I am in a car for a while and it didn't help that you were going way over the speed limit." I glare at him a little.
"You should have told me I would have let up a little, I'm sorry sweetheart. Next I will make sure to make some stops and slow down a bit." He said with sincerity.
"Thanks Jay." I say taking a few more deep breaths then standing up straight.
"Okay well we should get going again, but how much longer is it going to be until we get there?" I asked.
"It should only be about five or ten minutes until we get there." He said getting back into the car.
I got back into the car and buckled my seat belt. This time he didn't take off so quickly and actually followed the rules of the road. I sat back, leaned my head against the headrest, and closed my eyes.
Jay's mom yells in excitement and hurries towards me. She crushes me in a hug, then she leans back to get a good look at me.
"Sophia, you can call me Diana or mom. I will answer to either. I am so excited to have another woman in this family of barbarians."
She pulls me away from the rest of the family and I will admit I am a little nervous, I mean who isn't meeting your boyfriend's parents for the first time. So far it is looking good, she seems happy.
We get to the kitchen and she asks, "Would you be a dear and help me cook dinner?"
"Sure I don't mind that's what I do at my pack most of the time. You would think they were helpless by the way they step in the kitchen and look so lost." I say laughing slightly.
""Trust me, they just get worse as they grow, they can't cook worth to save their lives. Sure they can hunt, but they sure as hell cannot cook it. I've tried to get each of them to cook at least once, I'm not sure which one was the worst. I would say that when they tried to cook boxed macaroni was probably the worst. I don't know how they did it, but they almost caught the house on fire trying to make it. After that I decided that they were never allowed in the kitchen, unless it was to get a drink or something already cooked." She said laughing at her husband and children.
