I rush forward to help him, because no one seems to be doing anything to help him. I reach forward and grab the bar and help him lift it off himself. He racks and takes a few deep breaths to get his breath back in his lungs. I turn and glare at Max and Brent.
"Really guys you don't even help him when he dropped the weights. After all you are the ones responsible for this, the least you could do is help him. Especially with as much weight you added to it." I tell them.
"They added weight to it?" He asked me, "How much?"
"Max added like eighty pounds to it I think." I tell Jay, "Sorry for not warning you."
"That's okay sweetheart." He says smiling.
"Why are you smiling?" I asked.
"I proved I can lift more than everyone here." He says smirking at them.
I slap the back of his head and walk back to Diana and Izzy. Obviously he's fine if he can gloat like that. Diana laughs at all of us and I join in because this whole situation is ridiculous.
"Okay so now we are going to actually start you training and you guys will spar with us." Max tells us and leads us to one of the bigger mats in the gym.
They each teach us some defensive moves and fighting techniques. They pair us up with people with about the same strength as us. Izzy is paired with Diana, Max and Brent are paired together, and finally Jay and I are a pair.
When they said start we all started circling each other waiting for one of us to attack. Jay finally lunges towards me when he thinks I'm not paying attention. I turn back towards him and kick him in the gut flip him while he's falling and pin him to the mats. He is a little short of breath but that doesn't stop him.
He flips me so I am under him. He looks down at me and smiles seductively. He leans down and kisses my neck and I moan under him until I remember where we are. I head butt him and throw him off me, while he is distracted and smile triumphantly.
Jay gets up and walks towards me. I smile at him and when he gets near enough I kiss his cheek, but as I was about to hug him he grabs my arms and pulls them behind my back.
We trained and sparred until it was time for dinner and we all rushed into the kitchen to get some food. Once we have eaten and cleaned up we go into the living room to talk about what is going to happen tomorrow.
"We are going to try to exercise your new powers tomorrow and find out what all of them are. We will also train, but tomorrow is going to mostly be trying to get your new powers to reveal themselves." Max says.
We all nodded, but I kept wondering what exactly they had planned to make my powers come to the surface. Once we finished talking we went to our rooms to get some rest. I fell asleep wondering what would happen tomorrow and what powers I would have by the end of the day.
I slowly wake up and stretch out my muscles. I notice that Jay isn't lying beside me and I look around the room, but I don't even see any sign that he was ever here. None of his clothes or his duffle bag. I get up and go to the bathroom, but he isn't there either. I go to Diana's room and knock, but the door opens under my fist. I look inside and the room is bare and empty, like Diana was never there.
I walk around the pack house and all the other rooms I look in are the same. It is like a barren waste land. I start to worry because I have no idea what is happening. I start running around the house trying to find any sign that any form of life ever lived here. I went to the kitchen and looked in the cabinets and the fridge, but there wasn't even any food in the house.
I go around the house but the more I look, the less it seems like anyone ever came here let alone lived here. I even think I see cob webs in almost every corner of the house. Now I am really starting to freak out I run outside to get some fresh air.
