Tears of frustration and helplessness along with anger rolled down my cheeks, "You really are a heartless, cruel monster who deserves to rot in the deepest darkest parts of hell!"

I spat with as much hatred and anger conveyed in my tone and shakily stood up. With that, I fled back to my room and slammed the door shut before sinking back to the ground with my back against the door as countless tears rolled down my cheeks.

Alpha Brendon Kingston will always be a heartless cruel monster who doesn't care for anyone but himself.

I opened my eyes and my head pounded. Slowly sitting up, I realised I was in bed. Frowning, because I was pretty sure I had fallen asleep on the ground and didn't remember getting back into the bed.

Sitting up slowly, I gingerly touched the back of my head and winced as I could feel some of the dry matted blood on my hair. Looking into the mirror, I observed my dark circles and puffy eyes. Along with the bruise on my neck, I knew I would have new ones on my back.

I exhaled slowly and went to shower. It was about two in the afternoon and I knew that Cara would be here soon to help me get ready for the welcome party. The ironic thing was I felt anything but welcomed.

Once I was done, I dried my hair carefully, aware of my wound that was most probably healed now but it was still sore. I quickly dressed into a pair of jeans and a top and quickly applied some thick concealer onto my neck.

I didn't want anyone seeing the bruises on my neck because I didn't want anyone pitying me. Pity was something that I hated since I was growing up. That little orphan girl who had no parents because they had died.

Also, I didn't want Cara seeing any of my injuries. She had so much respect for her brother and he was the only family she had. I didn't want to taint her impression of him. Kingston clearly was everything to Cara and I would never do anything to destroy that image she had of him. Even though I thought he was the devil himself.

The door opened and I looked up to see Cara and another woman enter the room with a rack of dresses and some accessories.

"Hello! I wanted to see you earlier but Brendon said that you were still sleeping." She beamed at me and I gave her a weak smile. "Yes I was." I answered and eyed the many dresses on the rack.

Already, I was dreading this 'welcome party'. "The party starts at six and we do not have enough time! It's a themed party and the theme is the 1920's. So you can dress as a flapper from those days!" Cara beamed excitedly at me and I gave another weak smile.
