But let's not dwell in pain, let's enjoy the bubbles. Peach bubbles. The strangest thoughts were roaming my mind. I recalled a small dog that our neighbour used to have. He named him Jogobella - after a strawberry yogurt. I always found that name absolutely ridiculous. Who names their dog after a yogurt? Anyway, once the dog fell into a giant bowl, filled with strawberries that our neighbour grew in the garden, and drowned. Fancy that.

I also remembered a kid in my class who came drunk to school. The teacher noticed his strange behaviour, and of course the smell of alcohol, and asked him if he was drunk. He simply said: "I'm not drunk! I'm captain Jack Sparrow." And then he fell flat on his nose. Literally. He broke his nose.

Oh, I know another ridiculous story. Once there was a boy, a scary boy, but he was also really handsome. And there was a girl, a really shy girl, not particularly...handsome. He was a bad escort, or a prostitute if you will, and she was the daughter of his client's husband. Fancy that. Anyway, they fell in love and lived...happily ever after? God, this feels like Shrek.

Oh god, I'm a green, fat princess.

I shook my head and stood up. Enough of this! I stood victoriously in my bathtub.

I wrapped myself into a fluffy green towel and walked back to my room. I spotted Lucas sitting on my window shelve, smoking a cigarette. Small puffs of grey were coming out of his mouth as he gazed into the twilight.

"Hey." I stuck my head out the window.

"Hey." He looked at me. "Feeling better?"

"Yes. I am not gonna be a fat, green princess."

"What?" He narrowed his eyes and laughed.

"Nevermind. What I meant was - I'm not gonna feel sorry for myself. Life sucks sometimes. Sucks. Like really suck. But," I sighed. "if you can't do anything about it, can't do anything to fix the problem, then...it just doesn't matter. What happened, happened. I'm not saying that this will suck any less, but there's no need for me to dwell in self-pity, if it will only make me feel bad."

"That's very mature of you." Lucas lifted his head and gave me his serious look.

I don't know why, but we both laughed. "Mature," I gasped for air. "you make me sound like an old woman."

"Old soul in a young body." Lucas chuckled.

I sat down next to him and took a small puff from his cigarette.

"That's a very bad habit." He sneered at me.

"You are a very bad habit." I sneered right back at him.

"Bad habits are addictive."

"Are you saying I'm addicted to you?"

"Are you saying you're not?" He smiled with his devilish smile and pressed a kiss on my lips. He put his arm around my shoulders and softly whispered in my ear. "Something reminded me of you."

"What?"

"Something George Eliot said."

"Who?"

"Who..." I slowly opened my tired eyes, only to see Lucas slobbering all over his cute face. "Crap!" I almost yelled and jumped into the sitting position.

"Ughm..." Lucas groaned.

If he's in here, then...Mom!

"Skye?" I heard her saying from the other side of the door. What is she doing? She never comes to my room.

"Hide!" I said to Lucas and covered him with my fluffy covers.

"What..." He groaned again and tried to come back to the surface, but I pushed his head back under the blanket.

"Um, yes?" I asked with my morning voice, which was cracking from this weird surprise.

"Oh, okay" She said, and gently opened the door. "you're up."

"Well, now I am." I commented sarcastically.

"Sorry." She smiled. Wait, she smiled?!

"Mom...you're acting weird...even for you. Is there something you want?" I asked, questionably. Damn it, did she figure it out? Does she know I'm hiding this devil child here?! I tried not to look so guilty and pushed Lucas even deeper under the covers. He slowly slid his hand across my naked stomach and gently kissed the side of my hips. The feeling of his warm, inviting lips on my bare skin startled me. What is that idiot doing?!
