Getting drunk and occupying himself with work has been Sebastian's routine for the past weeks. Jayda's face hunted him every now and then. He gets angrier when he remembers his conversation with Lilian, his cousin. 'about her colleague dating the girl he had a one night stand with.'
He was totally convinced Jayda was just like the other women. All the tears she shed were fake and most importantly, what they had meant absolutely nothing to her.
He was hurt and dying of jealousy. The thought of another man having what he had with her was making him go crazy and because of his Ego, he couldn't reach out to her.
Seb couldn't believe he had been celibate for over a month now.
"Yes," He said as soon as he answered his intercom.
"There's someone here to see you, sir." Maria, his receptionist said over the intercom.
"But I'm not expecting anyone."
"She said it's urgent Sir."
"She?" Sebastian groaned, hoping it wasn't one of his ex flings.
"Yes sir, her name is Jayda."
Sebastian's eyes went wide at the mention of her name.
"W...what? She...Jayda is here?" He asked in disbelief. There had been only one Jayda in his life; the one he had a passionate one night stand with.
"Yes, sir. Should I let her in?"
Sebastian thought for a while. He wondered why she was there to see him.
"Let her in." He finally said to Maria.

Jayda was not surprised at what she saw as soon as the driver informed her they'd arrived at her destination. The picture she saw of Millers Inc did not even do justice to the building she was looking at right now.
The taxi man agreed to wait for Jayda until she was done, then take her to her office.
From the reception, she was directed to the eighth floor of the building where she met Sebastian Miller's receptionist.
"Good morning." She greeted the lady who seemed to be her age mate.
"Hello," She smiled at her. "How may I help you?"
"I'm here to see Sebastian Miller."
"Do you have an appointment?" Maria, the receptionist asked.
"No, I don't."
"Then I'm sorry, you can't see him," Maria replied politely.
"Sebastian and I are long-time friends and I'm sure he will be happy to see me. Please give him a call and tell him Jayda wants to see him and if he says he doesn't want to see me I promise to walk away." Jayda said with pleading eyes.
For some reason, Maria felt the need to help Jayda. She was different from the other ladies that do come to the office and ask to see Sebastian. Those girls were always half-naked and rude but Jayda looked presentable, polite and honest.
Her eyes never left Maria as Maria spoke to her baby daddy over the intercom.
"I'm sure you made this up. You paid someone to do this fake results so you can deceive me but sorry to disappoint you, Jayda, you've failed. There's no way I'm believing this!"
Words could not describe how angry Jayda was. She felt like strangling the man who was standing before her. If not for the huge mahogany desk separating them, she would have slapped some sense into him.
"I know you're not pregnant, you're just looking for ways to get money out of me and if you're pregnant it's probably for Liam, your present fuck buddy."
Jayda gave him the 'are you for real look' He knew he was the first person she gave herself to and even by the calculations on the test results, it was evident she conceived that night.
Jayda had heavy tears in her eyes but she refused to let them fall. At this moment she realized Sebastian was of no good and of no use. She would never allow her child to grow up with someone as cruel as him.
As Jay gave Sebastian a spiteful glare, she promised herself she wasn't going to be weak anymore. She was done with Sebastian. He does not deserve her or her child. She would raise her child alone and give him or her everything he or she will ever ask for.
"You and your fortune can go to hell for all I care. You mean nothing to me and MY baby. You're just a bittered individual who thinks so highly of himself. Once again, I hope you ROT in HELL."
Jayda reached for her handbag on his desk and made her way out of his office, slamming the door behind her.
Sebastian removed his suit jacket, ran his fingers through his hair and started to pace around his office. Despite the fact that the air conditioner was on, he felt like someone was strangling him.
He had expected Jayda's visit to be for any other thing except for her being pregnant.
The test results revealed she conceived the night they made love but still, he didn't want to believe that the baby was his.
He took a look through his glass wall and saw Jayda getting into the taxi. His life had never been the same since he met her.
He plopped down on the chair behind his desk, buried his face in his hands and tried to convince himself that Jayda was a liar, Jayda was just like Susan and the others and most importantly he wasn't the father of the child she was carrying. That was even if she was pregnant.
