Sebastian plopped down on his bed defeatedly and tossed his phone to the other side. He wished getting Jayda back would be quite easy but who was he kidding? Not after all he had put her through.

He was happy he gave her the opportunity to apologize before she ended the call. This was one of the moments that Sebastian wished he had some sort of superpowers. He would very much like to know how she was fairing and most importantly, what was going on in her head.

Issac had gotten back to him yesterday night with her home address and phone number. But he was scared to call her last night. He finally found the courage to do so when he woke up this morning.

He came to a conclusion that Jayda and his child were worth fighting for so he wasn't giving up anytime soon.

~~

Jayda was all dressed up in her business suit and matching pair of heels, she already had her makeup done and her hair in a low ponytail. She reached for her handbag, then exited her room.

"I wish, I hope and I pray that the rest of your mornings will be like this." Lilian walked in from the entrance with a huge bouquet of red roses that had a white rose in the middle and a small gift bag.

Jayda groaned as soon as she saw Lilian walk in with the items. Without even asking, she knew they were from Sebastian Miller.

"I told him not to send me anything anymore," Jayda complained.

"I see him not giving up anytime soon ma'am." Lilian smiled as she handed the roses to Jayda.

"What am I supposed to do with this now?" She asked, her eyes not leaving the rose.

"Maybe I should~~" She was saying but Lilian interrupted her.

"No!! You're not returning anything." Lilian said firmly, leaving no room for argument."

Jayda sighed. She placed the roses on the table to accept the gift bag Lilian was handing over to her.

"I think Sebastian is now doing his research well, he is getting to know what you like best." Lilian beamed as soon as Jayda brought out a box of chocolates from the gift bag. It was Jayda's favourite chocolate.

Jay exhaled as she reached for the other item in the bag. She came across a black velvet jewellery box.

"If this is expensive, I'll send it back." She said to Lilian who replied to her with a glare.

Jayda opened the rectangular-shaped box and came across a diamond drop chain. The drop chain came with a matching bracelet with the words "I love mommy" engraved on it."

"Awwww, For the first time ever, I'm proud of Sebastian. This is so sweet." Lilian giggled, admiring the piece of jewellery.

"This is not fair. He is manipulating me and I don't like it," Jayda stated, knowing with the way things were going, she might have to forgive him sooner.

"He isn't manipulating you. He has come to his senses and he is trying to win you back. You refused to talk to him so he is trying to make it up to you with these amazing and expensive gifts."

"Don't be worried about the price of everything. I'm sure it's nothing to him."

When Jayda thought that was all, She came across a handwritten note that was in the gift bag.

"I hope you find a place in your heart to forgive me. I'm willing to do anything to be in your life and our baby's life. Please accept this little token; they were bought with love and I hope you like them. I'll always be thinking about you and our baby. Take care, Sebastian." Jayda read out loud. He had a really sexy handwriting.

"Someone please get me a tissue. I never pictured Sebastian to be this romantic." Lilian said as she playfully wiped invisible tears away from her eyes.

Jayda heaved a sigh, "How the hell does he expect me to stay mad at him for long?" She mumbled. "He called me this morning to apologize?"

"He did?" Lilian asked with a raised brow. Jayda nodded.

"So? What was your reply to his apology?" Lilian asked curiously.

"I didn't know what to say to him after he apologized so I ended the call."

"I'm happy he's making so much effort to win you over. It shows how he feels about you." Lily smiled. "You can forgive him sooner than you anticipated. Life is too short to take things for granted." She encouraged.

Jayda arched a brow at her best friend.

Lily shrugged, then decided to change the subject. "I made breakfast. Let's go and eat before it gets cold." She said.

Jayda put back the items Seb sent for her in the gift bag, she arranged the red roses in her flower vase and then went to join Lilian on the dining table.

Sebastian found himself extremely happy as he returned to his apartment.

He was nervous as hell throughout the day. His heart skipped a beat whenever his secretary or anybody from his office knocked on his door. He was afraid anyone of them would appear before him with the gifts he sent to Jayda this morning.

Fortunately, she didn't return them and neither did she send him a notice about those papers she sent to him.

He had also asked his security if anybody came to deliver anything and thankfully nobody did.

"You feel something for her right? You want to be with her not only because she's carrying your child." Albert asked.

"Yes, Dad. I like her very much." He admitted.

"Then keep fighting for her no matter what. I wish you all the best son and thank you for making me a Grandfather."

Sebastian smiled, "Thanks, Dad."

"Make sure you come over to the mansion during the weekend. I have some work-related matters I want to discuss with you." Albert added before he passed the phone to Vanessa, his wife.

"I'm kind of hoping you and Jayda would have reconciled by next month so you will bring her along to my birthday dinner," Vanessa said excitedly.

Sebastian groaned. "Mom, your birthday is still a month and a few days away."

"I know, I'm just saying." Vanessa chuckled.

"Hopefully, Jayda and I will be on good terms by then and we will fulfil your wish by attending your party."

Sebastian and his mother talked some more before he ended the call.

He felt a little disappointed when he saw no new message on his phone. He was kind of hoping Jayda would have replied to his text by the time he finished talking to his parents. He was going to give her all the time she needed but he was never going to give up on her.

~~

Meanwhile...

Jayda was putting her hair in a messy bun when her phone beeped, indicating that she had a message.

She reached for her iPhone on the bed and her stomach did a little flip when she saw it was from Sebastian. She had saved his contact as 'Seb' earlier on.

Jay could not help with the smile that overtook her face when she read his text. He was successfully breaking down the walls she had put up to guard herself against him.

Jayda proceeded to her bathroom to apply some skincare products on her face. When she was done, she admired herself in the mirror, looking for any changes. Nothing much except for the fact that her boobs were a little bigger.

She smiled as she caressed her still flat belly. She was already loving the idea of being a mom. "Daddy said we mean the world to him. You want us to give him a chance?"
