Jayda could not help with the smile that took over her face when she stared at herself in the mirror. The red dress Sebastian bought for her fitted her perfectly and with the little makeup she applied, she looked very beautiful, like Cinderella, waiting for her Prince Charming to arrive so they can proceed to the event.

Jayda had no doubt she looked like a bag of money. She had an expensive dress, jewellery, and shoes on.

But she was a little bit nervous. Never had she attended any charity event filled with only billionaires in the room. Zach had invited her on so many occasions when they were still dating but she would decline, using work as an excuse.

Jayda heaved a sigh, reached for her clutch which had her phone, credit card and a keycard to her apartment. Then she made her way to the living room to wait for Sebastian.

Before she could take a seat to relax a little, the doorbell rang. She went to answer it and came face to face with the most handsome man in the world. Her baby Daddy, her very own 'Sebby'. He was in his dark tailored suit, he had smiles on his face and was holding a bouquet of red roses.

Sebastian was blown away by the gorgeous angel who stood before him. He had asked Lilian for her clothes and shoe size before picking the outfit for her. Seb knew all the men at the event would have a hard time keeping their eyes off her but he will be by her side all through and give them the necessary glare they deserve, to make them understand that she was only his.

"Hi." Jayda smiled, bringing Seb out of his thoughts.

Sebastian closed the gap between them. He caressed her right cheek.

"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on." He said sincerely as he looked into her eyes.

Jayda blushed, "Thank you."

He kissed her cheek then handed her the roses. Sebastian assisted her in arranging the rose in an empty vase and soon enough they were good to go.

They made their way to Seb's Car that was parked right outside her apartment. He helped her settle in the front passenger seat and then he made his way to the Driver's seat.

"You really have such a great taste. Thanks for the dress and my Jewellery, I love them." Jayda said.

Sebastian smiled, he wasn't used to people thanking him for everything and this woman right here, the person he was crazy about, the mother of his firstborn and future kids thanked him for every little thing.

"You're welcome, babe. I'm glad you like them." He reached for one of her hands with his free ones and gave it a light squeeze.

"I hope our little bean has not been naughty in there." He asked, took a glance at her, before returning his attention back to the road.

Jayda chuckled, she could see the love and adoration in his eyes when he spoke about their baby.

"It's still tiny so I can't say much. I guess he or she is well behaved but has no mercy when it comes to my morning sickness."

Sebastian smiled sadly, he wished he could be there for her during her morning sickness. He had no problem asking her to move in with him but he didn't want to scare her away. He had an idea of how painful morning sickness could be and how much women had to endure during pregnancy.

He was 9 when his mother gave birth to his twin sisters, an age wise enough to understand what was going on. But he was determined to be there for Jayda as much as he could.

Sebastian stopped the car in front of the hall where the event was taking place, he passed the keys to the valet and went to the other side to open the door for Jayda.

He saw the look of surprise on Jayda's face. She was expecting the press to be all over the place, taking pictures here and there but the entrance was awfully calm except for guests walking in and out of the hall

"The event is a private one," Sebastian explained. Jay nodded in relief. She was not always her best whenever she was around the media.

With his hand on her lower back, Sebastian ushered her into the hall. It was just as she had pictured it to be. Big, expensive decorations, high chandelier lights, waiters walking around with food and drinks, some of the guests were on their feet in different corners of the hall, trying to mingle while some were seated, chatting away.

"I can feel peoples' eyes on me. Is anything wrong with my dress?" Jayda stopped in her tracks and asked Sebastian.

He smiled, "Nothing is wrong with your dress, dear. You look so beautiful that people are finding it difficult to take their eyes off you."

She sighed in relief. "I got scared for a while. I thought something was wrong with my outfit."

Sebastian kissed her cheek and they continued to make their way through the guests.

"Sebastiano" A very familiar voice called.

"Uncle Ariche." He hugged his father's friend.

"It's so good to see you again, Son. How are you?" He asked as soon as Sebastian pulled away from the hug.

"I'm fine, Uncle."

"Meet Jayda, The Queen of my heart" He introduced her to him.

"Good evening, Sir." Jayda stretched out her hand for a shake.

Jayda heaved a sigh as soon as she rested her head against the headrest. "Thanks for standing up for me." She whispered to Sebastian.

"You have nothing to thank me for. I'll do it again if I have to." He gave her hand a light squeeze.

"I was shocked to see him and immediately I heard his voice, all the memories came back. The day he broke up with me, he said he and his girlfriend were taking it slow but her bump tells it all. I didn't notice her lower body that night. He must have been sleeping with her before he broke it off with me. Not that I blame him in any way. It was all my fault because I took him and our relationship for granted."

She swallowed painfully and looked into Sebastian's eyes. "I really suck at all of this. The only thing I know how to do well is being a lawyer. I can't keep a relationship and I don't even know if I will be able to be a good mother to my child. Maybe we should stop whatever is going on between us. You deserve so much more and I don't want to break your heart." She completed, looking everywhere but him.

"Look at me Jayda." Seb persuaded, and she did just that.

He caressed her face, "You don't need to allow anyone to make you feel less of yourself. You're a great lawyer and I promise you that you'll be a great Mom."

"We've all made mistakes in our past. We can only learn from them and move on. You agreed to give me a chance and we've been doing great together, we communicate from time to time and you also made time to accompany me to this event."

"I'm not perfect and neither are you but for the sake of what we feel for each other, we will make this work. Just like how motherhood is new to you, the same applies to me, I've never been a father before. I don't mind registering us for baby classes so we can learn all that we need to know."

"Look, what I'm trying to say is that I believe in what we have and the bond that we share. As far as we are together, we will figure things out. I'm not promising you that we won't make mistakes. We will but we will learn from it and that is how we will grow."

"I've lost you once and I don't want to lose you again. Let's have faith in what we feel for each other and please fight for me as I will always fight for you. You promise?" He asked.

Seb watched Jayda as she battled with her inner thoughts. He heaved a sigh of relief when she responded with a nod. Sebastian kissed the back of her palm.

He didn't want to leave Jayda to herself, drowning in the thought of her not being good enough, so he made a proposal.

"Instead of dropping you at your apartment, will you accompany me to mine instead? I'm not comfortable leaving you alone drowning in thoughts from the past. I promise not to do anything stupid, we will chat and have a good night sleep."

"Does that mean we will have to stop by my place to park an overnight bag?" She asked.

"It's up to you, I'm fine with anything."

"Okay, we will go to your place then," Jayda replied.
