When it was almost time, Sebastian paused the work he was doing, reached for his car keys, then exited his office.

After a nineteen minutes drive, he got to his soon to be in-laws home.

Seb rubbed his palms together, let out a sigh and then went ahead to press the doorbell.

Immediately, a woman opened the door. From the resemblance, Seb could tell she was Jayda's mom.

"Good day, Mrs Wright." Seb greeted nervously.

Grace smiled. She was happy to finally come face to face with the love of her daughter's life. "You can call me Grace and it's nice to meet you, Sebastian." She ignored his handshake and pulled him into a hug instead. That seemed to calm Sebastian down a little.

"Come in." She ushered him into her home, closing the door behind him.

Grace led Sebastian to the second living room downstairs where David, her husband was. He was comfortably seated, going through a newspaper.

"Honey, Sebastian is here." She announced, getting his attention before taking a seat beside him.

"Good afternoon Mr Wright." Sebastian greeted.

David kept aside his newspaper and removed his eyeglasses. "It's nice to finally meet the man who has made my daughter cry and fall in love at the same time," David said, which made Grace chuckle.

Seb blushed as he playfully scratched the back of his head.

David rose to his feet, shook Seb's hand after which they all settled down.

Sebastian had asked Lilian for Jayda's mom's number a few days ago. The same day Lilian gave him the number, he called Grace and told her he would like to see her and Jayda's father, David; that he had something important to discuss with them.

Sebastian let out some air before he began to speak. "Mr and Mrs Wright, I'm here because I want to ask for your Daughter's hand in marriage. Words cannot imagine how much I love and adore Jayda. I cannot imagine not spending the rest of my life without her by my side."

"I promise to love her, cherish her and be there for her and my unborn child. You two mean a lot to Jayda and your approval means a lot to me. Do I have your blessings to go ahead with the proposal?"

Grace looked at her husband with a smile, she had an idea this was what Sebastian wanted to talk about when he called her a few nights ago.

David also knew his daughter was deeply in love with Seb. If his daughter wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, who was he to say No?

"Jayda is my princess and the apple of my eye. I hope you take care of her and cherish her as you've promised. If you ever hurt her in any way you will have me to deal with." David threatened.

"I promise not to hurt her sir," Sebastian assured him.

David took a look at Grace who nodded eagerly. "Okay then, you have our blessings," David announced...

Sebastian silently heaved a sigh of relief.

"So when do you plan to propose to her? Can we come to witness it? Sorry, I mean are we invited?" Grace asked, finding it hard to hide her excitement.

"Grace~~ " David groaned.

Sebastian smiled. He had everything planned out already and he wanted their loved ones to share their beautiful moment with them.

"I plan to propose on her birthday; Saturday night. I'm also throwing a small party for her and of course, I was about extending an invitation to you two."

"Perfect." Grace smiled. She was happy Jayda met Sebastian who opened her eyes and made her believe in love. She was formerly afraid that Jayda would get married to her job and end up alone. Thankfully, Sebastian walked into her life and changed that perspective.

"I don't think so!" She smiled.

"How is Roman? I hope you guys have started creating my god baby." Jayda asked. Lilian blushed.

"Roman sends his greetings. We will let you know when we are pregnant. Anyways how are you celebrating your birthday?" Lily asked.

"People in my firm tend to surprise me with cakes and small parties and it can get so overwhelming. I'm happy my birthday falls on a Saturday this time around."

"I'll probably stay at home and pamper myself. I will also remember to fill the fridge with ice cream on Friday so you're invited to my ice cream party."

"How did I end up with such a boring friend?" Lilian facepalmed.

Jayda chuckled, "You love me, that's all that matters."

"So will you go out with me on Friday? Please? What's your schedule like this Friday?" Lilian asked hopefully.

"I have to be in the courthouse in the morning and I think I have meetings with three clients or so. Where do you want me to accompany you to?"

"To the beauty house, to pamper ourselves. We can get a spa treatment, a makeover, get our nails done and from there we will go to the mall for a little shopping."

Jayda stared at Lilian strangely as she spoke. Is there anything I should know?" She asked suspiciously.

Lilian pouted. "Don't be a mood spoiler, Jay! I was indirectly asking for a girls' time."

"Okay, I'll try to adjust my schedule," Jayda promised.
