Cassian reached into his coat and pulled out a small seal and a ring of keys. “These are for the studio,” he said, his voice steady but warm. “I want you to have them from now on.” He could already tell Wiona was about to argue, so he held up a hand to stop her. “Hear me out. You’re my successor. Who else would I trust with this? Summer is moving to another country to start over with her child. She needs my help. I can’t just let her do it alone.”

He paused, regret flickering in his eyes. “If I had a choice, I wouldn’t be leaving you. When Summer was little, I was always working, always too busy.
