There was no way she could hide it from Channing.
On top of that, it was less than a week until Ebony Fox's wedding.
Once the wedding was over, Channing would be leaving too.
She would wait until then to make her final choice: to keep it or let it go.
——
At Westshore Casino.
They were scheduled to head back to Eclara City in three days, so a lot of work needed to be wrapped up in advance.
When Coralie returned to her office, she found Channing meticulously organizing files and reports at her desk.
Ever since he started working by her side, she rarely had to stress over business matters anymore.
But once the wedding was over, their paths would never cross again.
"You're back, Boss."
Hearing her come in, Channing turned around, his usually stoic face breaking into a warm smile.
"Mhm."
Coralie walked in, tossing her bag and coat onto the sofa. "Are you done?"
"All done."
Channing nodded softly. "I just need your signature here."
"Alright."
Coralie walked over to him, tilting her head back to look at him. "You've been so good. Do you want a reward?"
Channing rested his hands on her waist, his Adam's apple bobbing as he didn't dare say a word.
Ever since he got kicked out of bed two months ago, he had been relegated to sleeping alone.
Any privileges like kissing or hugging had been completely revoked.
He didn't dare dream of any extra perks.
"Cat got your tongue?" Coralie teased. She went up on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth. "You're such a coward, Channing."
Channing frowned, the hands gripping her waist suddenly tightening with force.
He lifted Coralie up and set her on the desk, bracing his hands on either side of her. His voice was laced with deep, restrained passion: "Can I kiss you, Boss?"
"You talk too much!"
Coralie smirked, looping her arms around his neck and pulling him down for a kiss.
There were less than ten days left. She might as well indulge herself while she could.
