I’ll take forty-nine percent of the technical shares, and you get back the fifty-one percent.” When James’s brow furrowed again like he was about to argue, Emmy cut him off. “You built this company from scratch. I didn’t help at all in the beginning. Besides, I’ll be handling the tech stuff, and you’ll still have to take care of everything else. More work, more reward. That’s fair, isn’t it?”

James looked at her, exasperated by how serious she was. They were married. Did it really need to be so precise? He was just about to say something when Emmy’s voice dropped lower.

Just saying the name made the air feel colder. “He’s running Nelson Corporation all by himself now. He’s like a mountain you can’t get over.
