Catherine held Estelle's hand, asking detailed questions about how she was feeling.

Estelle raised an eyebrow. "Jonathan wants a girl, but to me, they're exactly the same."

Magdalen's eyes sparkled. "Then let's both have girls! They can grow up together and share the same bond we have."

Estelle smiled gently. "I'd love that."

Magdalen couldn't help but dream. "We get pregnant together, have our babies together, and then we'll be their godmothers, watching them grow up side by side."

She flashed a bright, radiant smile. "Thinking about it like this, I guess I'm not so resistant to being pregnant anymore!"

Estelle's smile was soft and shallow. "The baby chose you. How could you ever resent him?"

Magdalen's eyes lit up. "That's true!"
