I didnt want jason to see me. He definitely knew. This was better for both of us.

Now the room was silent. I was begging and begging that Jason would just speak up and say something. Change the subject. Ignore everything. Anything.

But i just felt him look down at me sternly. "Im heading out." My head instantly shot up staring at him.

What? I thought to myself.

"Er..umm..." i uselessly stuttered and for the first time in so long truly hated my existence. Im pushing him away. The voice in my head kept on telling me.

As Jason pushed opened the door. All I wanted to do was to grab onto his shirt and pull him back inside. Don't go. I begged but he couldn't hear me.

I heard his footsteps descend down the stares before he had a short conversation with my mum. Then there it was. The loud sound of a door slam. He was gone.

For the first time in more than 10 years...Jason left me and never looked back.

For the first time in more than 10 years...Jason left me and never looked back.

Felix

It hurt. So bad. So damn bad. He was my only friend and I knew eventually a day like this would come but I didn't know it would come so soon.

A thousand knives flew towards me stabbing me. It was the wind as he slammed the door.

This was the worse pain because it was emotional and uncontrollable. I fought back the tears on the brim of my eyes. I can't be weak in a moment like this.

Jason is growing i need to grow as well. I took a deep breath before pacing back and forth in my empty room.

"Felix?" My mums voice broke the silence in my bedroom.

I turned to her and immediately forced all tears to receed. It'll be bad for me to cry. She always said how men had to be strong and control their feelings. I smiled at her as she questioned about jason.

"Why did jason leave in such a hurry?" She asked.

"Umm...his dad." Thats all I replied and it seemed to be enough for her.

"Ok well, there's still some cookies downstairs if you want some." She said. It felt like she knew that I was feeling kind of down. So she must've known how even hard i was trying to hold it in and decided to ignore it.

"Ok. Thanks." I said before she exited the room giving me some privacy.

My mood was instantly lifted. Today was the last day of the week And it just so turns out i didn't have any lessons with Jason. Guess today will be quite boring i thought to myself before heading into the bathroom getting ready for the day.

The school day was over. And just as I predicted absolutely nothing happened. Jason didn't try to talk to me. I don't even think he looked at me.

Maybe he knew the truth about what happened and he didn't want to be near me anymore. Or maybe i was overthinking everything. i do that a lot.

I was okay with that. But what hurt me a but was that he hung out with the popular kids. Those who sometimes picked on me. It hurt to see him with them i couldn't help but notice how much he fit in. it made me almost think thet he was Just like them.

He's not. He's not. I repeated as i walked home. The entire day i tried not the think about him but i guess i just couldn't help myself.

He was unforgettable.

He was always on my mind. Was i ever on his?

My steps slowed down and rain began pouring from the sky.

"Shit." I cursed at myself as i began walking faster than before.

Its been months from the last time i walked home and that was only because jason was being forced into a meeting with his dad.
