It was quite a long journey however not impossible. I searched my surroundings and thought about a shortcut. The sides Of my brain argued with each whether i should go down the dark alley way or not.
The intelligent side said no it's the perfect murder scene in there. Yet the 'wanna go home' side said the perfect muder scene will only last a few seconds, what are the chances?
It didn't take much deliberation before i made my decision and i diverted my direction towards the alley way. I wanted to quickly run through here but by the time i got halfway. It was apparant that someone else was here.
In fact there was quite the scene. The alleyway branched off into another and i stood hiding behind the wall at the intersection watching the scene play out. The people looked sketchy so i made sure not to be seen.
"I..i said i would pay next month. Please jus give me a little more time." A bloodied man said before bringing up his forearm to wipe blood off his face as he scooted towards the wall of the alleyway leaning back to support himself. He semed to have a wound on his leg. A knife wound.
I stared eyes wide. Ive never seen something like this and a crippling fear grabbed my heart. I noticed that any sound i made could've costed me my life. I stood motionless watching them. waiting for it to just end so i can run past. I made sure to take deep breaths. This would be the worse place to pass out.
"We've come to the conclusion that you are unable to pay us back. W ok though we know your daughter is doing quite well. Your debt would he redirected to her." The man in a het black suit said with a devilish smile decorating his face.
He was accompanied with two other men wearing the same attire.
They looked threatening and scary. My heart was almost beating out of my chest. I was scared they may be able to hear it.
Please please please. I repeated over and over in my head.
I don't know what I was begging for. Maybe for this to go away and be a dream. Nightmare more like.
The injured man on the ground frantically began shaking his head
"n..no no n-" he said before he was cut off.
There was barely a sound but i heard it. A shot. The gun probably had an Silencer but it still made sound. It was so quiet like a mouse in a crowd of cats. Like me.
I was one hundred percent sure that they killed the man. And began walking away from me down the alley. Only then I Realized a black car at the end of the alley way just waiting for them.
It seemed recognizable . So i leaned out of my hiding spot and stared at the driver seat and saw someones face plastered on the window staring right back at me. My heart stopped completely as i collaspsed to the ground once the suited men were far enough. Jason?
FELIX
And I just watched as his life was snatched from underneath him. I hid behind a wall while as a murder played out right in front of me. Like a football match and i was the referee.
Tears came gushing out of my eyes. I'm a monster. I know that I wouldn't be able to take on all those men but I didn't even try to interrupt them.
I didn't know why but deep down i felt like i also killed that man.
"Felix? Are you going to come in?" My mother said as she stood leaning on the door just staring at me.
I couldn't even mutter any words to talk to her. How was I meant to explain. The look on her face morphed in front of my eyes. Her eyebrows scrunched and her mouth curved into a furious frown.
"What did you do?" She said looking at me judgingly. "You're just like them aren't you?" She said the snarl on her face growing bigger and bigger.
She knew.
How did she find out. It was obvious wasn't it. Everyone i passed on the way here
