That included Leander, who raised an eyebrow slightly.

“Martial Alliance?” Leander asked. “What is that?”

A faint glint flashed through Darian’s eyes as he replied calmly, “The Martial Alliance is a martial coalition formed voluntarily by us in Astria.

“When the West invaded Astria, they didn’t come with armies alone. Alongside their troo were many of the West’s top martial artists. King Phase masters were among them. They infiltrated Astria from all sides, planning to crush us completely–both militarily and in the martial world.

“At that time, the leading King Phase masters of the West were mostly commanders from two major forces: the Arbitration Office and the Church.

“To resist the Western martial artists‘ invasion of Astria’s martial world, many of Astria’s King Phase experts answered the call of two men. They united and formed a coalition of their own -the Martial Alliance.
