Billy stared at him, his eyes sharp. It was the first time he realized Leander had a completely different side from what he showed on the surface.

Most of the time, Leander kept to a simple routine. He went between class, the library, the cafeteria, and his rented apartment, sticking to the same places every day.

He went to class during the day, read in the library at noon, and worked at a bar at night. His life barely had any ups and downs.

Billy had always thought Leander was just a regular Astrian student working part–time, trying to get a decent job in the future.

But now, it seemed like he had been wrong from the start. He didn’t believe an ordinary college student could take on twenty people alone.

Rachel and Ava were both left speechless. They stood there in a daze for a moment before snapping back to reality. What Leander just did completely changed how they saw him.

“Billy, what are you talking about?”

Leander smiled and looked at him helplessly.

“You already know my situation. I’m just a poor Astrian student. I practiced some martial arts when I was younger. I saw you were about to get into trouble, so I helped out. Why are you making me sound like some undercover agent?”

His expression looked completely natural, with no sign of acting or hiding anything. That made Billy even more confused.

“I know you like Rachel. Let me be clear, she’s mine. If you want to go up against me, fine. Three days from now, we will meet at the Bauer Street underground boxing arena. Each side brings three fighters, Best two out of three wins. If you win, I’ll give you five million, and I won’t bother Rachel again!

“But if you lose, you pay five million. Then you get on your knees and apologize to me. You got the guts to take that?”

His voice sounded cold and threatening. He was set on crushing Billy completely.

Billy’s eyes shifted. When he heard that Jace would stop bothering Rachel, his emotions flared. He nodded without hesitation.

“Fine. I’ll take the bet. Three days from now, Bauer Street. Don’t be late!”

Jace smirked, clearly pleased.

“Good. That’s what I like to hear. Guess the third young master of the Wood family isn’t all talk. It’s settled then. See you in three days!”

His gaze shifted to Leander.

“Oh, right, you’re pretty good at fighting, aren’t you? You’ve probably practiced some ancient martial arts, right? You can come with Billy when the time comes. I’ll show you what a real martial artist looks like!”

After he finished speaking, the car sped off.

Billy stayed where he was, his fists clenched. His mind had already moved to the underground fight. If he won, he could finally get rid of a major problem standing between him and the girl he liked.

“Billy, and… Leander, thank you for helping me out.”

At that moment, Rachel walked over gracefully. A light fragrance followed her.

A few streets away, the Lamborghini was parked on the side of the road. Jace looked at the information his men handed him, his expression dark.

“So that kid’s name is Leander. A student at Ember University working part–time. Hmph. I thought he was someone important. Turns out he’s just a nobody from Astria.”
