---- Aurora's POV ----

This trip was officially the most awkward situation I've had to encounter so far. We've been walking for the past couple of hours in complete silence. Not that I was keen to even listen to Wolfgang's voice, but this was really uncomfortable. Not to mention that Rhea was on a complete bliss walking side to side with our mate. She kept yapping about how attractive he was and how happy she was to be near to Cronnos

Piermont was a three hour away trip so we had at least another half of hour of walking till we got there.

"Talk to him Aurora." Rhea kept nagging so I decided I'd break the silence.

"I still don't get why do we have to walk till Piermont and take a train when we can simply shift and run straight to Buckland. It'll even take us less time." Wolfgang simply kept walking while he kept that ever so stoic expression of his on.

"There is no need to waste energy running in our wolves form when it's not even necessary." He said in his monotone voice. "Piermont is just a mile away. Once we get there, we'll take the train to Buckland."

"This is ridiculous." I scoffed as I crossed my arms.

"No, it's not. We get to spend time with our mate!" Rhea disagreed with me.

"Aurora... The flames. Have you been able to recreate them?" He suddenly asked.

"No." To be honest I've tried to do it again. But I've come unsuccessful with it. Even if I concentrated hard enough, all that I'd get is severe migraine.

"You said that anger triggered it. Maybe it's connected to your emotions?" He said to me.

"I don't know. It was the first time that it's ever happened to me." I answered him trying to recall any other occasion that this has happened to me.

"Actually, it would be the second time." He said causing me to look at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked him confused. Rhea also stopped her prancing as she also listened.

"There was no need on intimidating the train manager that way. We could have shared a bed." He said as we headed to our room cabin. Since the corridors were narrow, we walked one behind the other, Wolfgang being the one in the back.

"As if I'd share a room, let alone a bed with you." I shot back.

"That didn't stop you the last time we shared a bed." He said right to my ear, his minty breath fanning my skin causing goosebumps all over it. I quickly turned around and shove him hard on the chest. Of course, being the strong built alpha that he was, that didn't even face him.

"Don't fucking bother me until we reach Buckland." I said to him before entering my room and slamming the door in his face.

The little room was a single bed cot that laid against the window, where you could see the scenery as it passed by. A little nightstand stood to the left of it and over it was a cabinet where I could store my luggage. To the left was a door that led to a bathroom that consisted of a shower and a toilet. Right by the door, there was a sink and a mirror.

I threw my bag on the bed and sat next to it annoyed.

My breathing was still erratic and I felt hot and agitated. This was all because of the mate bond. Just a simple action like that one and I'm left all flustered and bothered.
