---- Wolfgang's POV ----

I ran through the woods trying to clear my mind from everything that just happened this evening and trying to close out Cronnos constant yapping about me ruining his chance in love.

I decided to take patrol duty tonight to get my mind off of her, but I just couldn't stop thinking about those beautiful gray eyes staring at me with complete sadness written all over them.

"She's out here! I feel her!" Cronnos started shouting in my head catching my attention.

"What the fuck are you going on about now, you old bag of fleas?" I asked my wolf as a sweet scent crept through my nostrils. I'd recognize that smell anywhere. It was her... Aurora was out here, but what was she doing all the way out here at this hour of the night. It wasn't safe to be running around without protection. Anger flared within me.

What the fuck was she doing out here in the woods so near to the border alone?

"Who cares?! Find her before something happens to her!" Cronnos shouted in my head.

I sprinted towards the place where her scent was and got anxious as it became stronger near the borderline of our pack.

I reached a clearing and right beside a lake, there sat a beautiful wolf with fur as white as snow and eyes that shine as bright as an amethyst.

Who was this wolf? She was beautiful but I'd never seen a shift like this before.

Usually a wolf's true form resembles it's human features, as in the fur is similar to the hair color and the eyes are the same hue as the humans form eyes, but this one was completely different. White fur and purple eyes... What does it mean?

I know I read something about it before, but I can't recall it right now.

I'm just so stoned about how beautiful she is.

"This is pointless. I have nothing good in this town to hold on to. Maybe I should pack my things and leave."

That was Aurora's voice ringing in my head. Is this wolf Aurora? She was planning to leave?

"I could go to the village mom grew up in the east. I always dreamed of going there one day anyways."

It is Aurora. Why was her wolf this form? But I couldn't think about that right now.

She's actually contemplating leaving the village. It'd be the best for both of us, specially me but... Why does it anger me that she wants to leave?

I unconsciously took a step toward her, stepping on a twig making it snap, alerting her of my presence. She stood on guard and ready for the attacker to show itself.

I had no other choice. I walked forward from where I was hiding and growled at her, showing my superiority over her. I wanted so badly to mark her right now.

"Shit." Was all I heard her say earning another growl from my wolf.

---- Aurora's POV ----

I stood wary as I watched the wolf approaching me. He growled and that itself was enough to make me crouch down in fear. His aura exuded authority.

"So, you're planning to run away from the village miss Craton?" I heard a deep voice within my head. That's when the wind brought his scent over to me, making me recognize who this wolf was.

"You are forbidden to ever leave this village miss Craton. If you do so, I will mark you as a rogue. Got it clear?" He said, shocking me to my core before turning and began to walk away.

"Why?!" I shouted in my mind halting him from going any further from me.

"Why are you doing this to me? You already rejected me, condemning me to be mateless the rest of my life. Why are you forbidding me to leave?!" I said as I tried to stand tall and not be intimidated by his aura.

"Rejected you? When did I do that?" He asked me as he turned to face me.

"Ba...Back at my home when you said I was... Useless..." I said the last part lowering my head in shame.

"I did say you were useless to me miss Craton..." He started to walk back over to where I stood. 'But I never got the chance to properly reject you." He said.

We stood in silence facing one another. He was right. He never actually said the words but still, I knew what was coming next. He wouldn't hesitate this time. I bowed my head and waited with eyes closed tight, trying to keep the tears from falling.

"However, I won't reject you just yet." I raised my head and looked in bewilderment. 'What?" I asked, shock still plastered in my face.

"I won't reject you just yet Miss Craton. I have other plans for you. But you will not tell anyone in the village that we are mates. Like I said before, if you do, I will deny it. And I will mark you and whoever you told as rogues." He said as he turned once more to leave.

"Get back home soon. It's too late for a simple omega wolf like you to be out here alone." He said before disappearing in the bushes leaving me shocked and hurt.

What was he planning to do to me?
