"What's the matter?" I asked but when I looked at him, I realized his eyes had gone darker and his cheeks were also coated red.
"Aurora... Are you perhaps beginning your heat season?" He asked as he looked away, but I could see his Adams apple bob up and down as he swallowed hard and his nostrils were flared as he tried to keep an even breathing pattern.
Shit!! My heat! I had completely forgotten about that.
"Um..." I said as I looked at his hand that had an iron grip on my wrist. Shivers running up my arm as the sparks were burning me at is touch. Suddenly, a flash of the day we were together crossed my mind and I remembered how he had marked me that time. My body involuntarily shivered at the bitter sweet memory and he noticed this.
He quickly let go of my hand and almost jumped out of the chair as he made as much distance between us.
"I'm sorry Aurora. I didn't realize it was already that time of the month. I swear I'm not willing to touch you without your consent." He blabbered out as he spoke. "I usually try to keep away when you're passing through this fase. I'll leave right away. I'll tell Emma and Aspen to come over to keep you company." He said as made way to the door, but for some reason, I didn't want him to go. I didn't want him to leave me.
He was about to step out the now open door when I had it close shut in his face.
I got out of the couch and walked over to him as he looked at me dumbfounded.
"Aurora..." He started to say as I stood before him, but I didn't allow him to say more as I attacked his lips. I ravished them like a hungry wolf who had just caught her prey, only letting go of them when I needed to catch my breath. He was out of it also, but he still seemed in shock about what had just happened.
"Please don't go..." I whispered against his lips as I stared into his eyes, noting how the baby blue were slowly turning darker as lust took over him and his wolf.
"Ar... Are you sure?" He stammered uncertain as if this was all real or just a dream.
I barely got to finish nod my head when he suddenly had me captured against the wall as he devoured my lips with the same ferocity, I had just attacked him with.
He held me trapped between him and the wall as he held me by the waist. I had his head in an iron grip from his messy black mop of hair, making sure he couldn't get away from me.
We were in a fight of dominance as we kissed each other vigorously. I was bodies were so close to each other that we were practically molded into one another. We were so lost in each other, as if the world around us had ceased from existing. It was only Wolfgang and me. My mate and I. nothing else mattered... That is until someone clearing their throat caught our attention.
There at the door stood Eleanor with a smirk on her face.
"Well, as much as I love a public display of love from another, I'm not into voyeurism. So, I'd recommend you guys take this to the room."
"Good night." He said before walking out the door and I once more felt that ache from before. But this wasn't an ache of a heartbreak, but more like one of a heart filled with love.
I loved this man. I loved my mate and even though he was an awful person at first, he had melted away my frozen heart and made his way into it once more.
I was still standing at the door watching Wolfgang's figure disappear into the night like a love sick pup when Eleanor brought me out of my reverie.
"I see you guys have made a lot of advance." She said as she stood in the passageway, leaning on the door frame to the kitchen with her arms crossed. A smug look on her face.
I only rolled my eyes at her as I closed the door and made my way back into the house and was about to go upstairs. I wasn't willing to hear her taunt me over my relationship with Wolfgang.
"Don't let the heat cloud your mind and you end up doing something you don't want to do." Her words had me stop midway up the stairs.
"Excuse me?" I turned and asked her. What did she mean by that?
"He used your and broke your heart once. Are you sure he won't do it once more?" She said as she stood at the foot of the stairs. Her hands laid on her hips.
