He gave a low chuckle as he brandished a small remote control from his back pocket and pressed a button. Stringed music from long ago blasted from the stereos in each corner of the ballroom, filling the air with a wonderful melody.

"Johann Strauss the Second's Vienna Blood Waltz," he said in a matter-of-fact manner. "My grandmother and aunt used to drill all the classical music into my head and I've grown to have an appreciation for it." He gave a dry smile as he continued on. "I'm going to stand closer to you now," he told me softly as he placed my hand on his shoulder and the other on his right hand. His left hand snaked around my waist and pulled me close, leaving just a few inches between us. "It's important that we have a space in the middle. Some old crones are stickler for rules," he added, mockingly. "Are you ready?"
