He left beside me. "Still awake?" he asked.
"Yeah..." I said.
"What happened?" he asked.
Sometimes, he behaves really nicely.
"I... uh... leave it"
"Tell me"
"I-I want to meet Alex," I said.
He looked at me, and I knew he was gonna get angry.
"Okay. When?"
My jaw dropped. "You'll let me?"
"Yeah," he said. "When?"
"Anytime," I said.
"Tomorrow?"
"Really? Sure! Thank you!"
"Yeah. Just don't run away"
"I won't" I replied with a slight smile.
He hummed and then we slept.
Hailey's POV
I was getting dressed up in my best clothes as today I was gonna meet Alex finally. Guess that my plan worked and he trusts me, and finally... I can meet with my family. I have been waiting for this for such a long time... it feels like forever.
Robert entered the room and raised an eyebrow. "You are so happy like you are going to heaven," he said.
"You always think everything related to the dead?"
"Nope, but seriously, I mean... what's so good?"
"I am gonna meet my brother after so much time. Of course, I am happy!" I said.
He sighed. "I don't like him, you know?"
"Oh," I said. "What's there to hate him about?"
"Everything"
"Really?" I rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me" he said.
I sighed and took a deep breath. This is finally happening. I am gonna meet him. I am gonna see him!
I made breakfast, which was his favorite, of course. I have to thank him.
I ate breakfast with him. He also seemed to like it. "So, when will he come?" I asked.
"He is not gonna come here. Come with me" he said.
"Oh," I said.
I went with him to his car. "You really thought I am gonna let him see my private base?" he said, whilst driving.
"Is this a secret base? I seriously don't know where I am" I replied.
"Really? You don't? We have gone to the hospital pretty few times. You would have noticed the boards; they have the location" he said while his eyes still on the road.
"No... I haven't. I was too engrossed in the work, I mean, for Max's health"
"Oh. It is good you don't know the location. Otherwise, I would have to change the house" he said.
"Woah, really? So, the day I will get bored with this house, I will certainly see the location"
"Let me complete. The other house is inside the torture room"
I rolled my eyes at him. He laughed.
We soon reached a different house. "This is Apartment D, my public house," he said.
"This is beautiful," I said.
"Alex is gonna come very soon. Go inside" he said.
I nodded and went inside the apartment. It was beautiful from inside too. I sat in the living room.
A minute later, the doorbell rang and I opened the door.
"Alex," I said as a tear formed in my eyes.
Robert lied.
She isn't well.
"W-What?"
"Yes... Hailey. I think you should meet her" he said.
Meet her?
How?
"A-Are you asking me to run away?"
"I guess. Listen, Hailey. Now or never. You need to meet her"
Should I run away?
How will he react?
He will never trust me if I run away today.
But... mom?
I can't let her die!!
I have to do something.
"Okay," I said. He smiled and took my hand. He stood up.
I went out with him and Robert was nowhere to be found. So, I took this as an opportunity, even when I know, once he finds out, this is gonna be a mess.
"Let's do this"
"Yeah" I replied and we both ran to Alex's car and drove off.
Robert's POV
I had some important works to do. Nicholson has been doing a lot of things lately, that's why I let her meet him today.
Anyway, I went back to MO. It has been a while since I came here. By the way, Xander is handling my business in LO. He was the president. I mean... still is, it's more like, he is doing the work of CEO.
I checked everything. I have set alarms and the second anybody leaves Apartment D; I will know it.
I was just taking a round, when the alarm rang. I took a look at the screen.
