I waited for them to do their work.

"Sir, as you said, everything is well arranged," the nurse said.

"Good" I replied.

I have done the payment and have done whatever I can. There is something more important than money and power... that is life.

I didn't go back, I just stayed there for hours. Days passed, nights passed, but she didn't get well.

"Today?" I asked on the phone call.

"YES" she replied.

"Okay," I said and the call ended.

Katherine came to know about everything... I mean, not everything, but that Hailey is not well, so she is visiting me today.

I got up and as normal, I asked the doctor.

"She is stable, sir. We can't say anything. She is unconscious. The operation will complete very soon"

I nodded and went back. I don't know what can I do now?

I went back to my home and taking a bath, I returned and sat down. My LO is suffering from great loss. MO, well, it is being managed by Max. I can't do anything; someone needs to keep track of the next moves of Nicholson. He wouldn't wait for me to get better; he would definitely act on my weakness.

"Hey... Rob"

I heard a sweet voice and I looked up to find my sister.

"Hey, Katherine" I replied.

"Have you eaten!? You are so weak right now"

"It is okay. I hope Hailey--" I said.

"I know. But she wouldn't like you like this. You are so thin right now. You must be starving"

"Not really. I have lost my appetite" I replied.

She looked at me with concern. "Rob..."

She suddenly tensed up and spoke. "N-Nick" 

"Good," I said, and kissing on her cheek, I turned around and went back to my room. 

I was getting bored, so I called Summer. 

"Hey Summer," I said as she entered my room and closed the door. 

"Again bored?" she asked. 

"You sure know me babes" I pulled her on the bed and snuggled into her. "I love your smell" 

"I bought that perfume for you" she replied. 

I smirked and started kissing her senselessly, which resulted in much more than expected.  

I woke up after a long time and glancing once over my watch, I stood up and ran all the way down and found Summer sitting on the sofa in my shirt. 

"Damn Summer, why didn't you wake me up?" I yelled. 

"Oh... Nick. You know what? You need some rest. You're so worn off" she said whilst using her phone. 

I snatched her phone and she looked at me. "You don't decide when I need rest and when I don't, okay?" I said. She nodded. 

"You aren't working for Robert, are you?"
