"Not at all, Max. Don't you understand?" I asked looking at Max, who was acting like a real fool right now. "Of course, he is lying. He is not leaving the country!"

"But they both went to the airport and Summer was seen on the flight--"

"Yes, Summer was seen and not him. He must have let her go to make us believe that he left too. We can't loosen up a bit right now, okay?" I exclaimed as I made my way to the main hall with Max.

"Okay boss"

"Robert" I corrected him.

"Out of practice, I guess," he said while sitting on his seat.

"So fast? Anyways, get ready and don't think even for a second that he has left, okay?" I confirmed them and they nodded.

I spent some more time checking all bases and making sure that the system and the servers are working fine. The surveillance system was also working all well and good and I don't think that we possess any danger any time soon.

I left the MO and decided to go to my legal office, I could use some time there.

I went there and completed the paperwork I saw on my desk yesterday. Nothing much, I just had to sign a million times.

No hyperbole intended.

I went back to my house at 3 itself. I wanted to have lunch with her.

Nicholson's POV

I was planning the attack on Robert when he planned to return home. But dammit, he didn't return a single day before the day she was discharged.

Still, I tried my best and as my men's car went near theirs, they told me that Hailey was in the car.

So, they had to pull the brake and didn't hit the car. I don't wanna hurt Hailey.

So, I postponed the attack. He is not so concentrated on his work nowadays. His business is facing loss-- both.

And no one will be happier than I am. I mean, he is so off mood and I am fully benefited by that.

I even think that he may think that I have really left the country. But maybe he doesn't, so I have to be on a cover and make him believe that I have left the country. Let's not show that I am here for some months. He will really believe that I am not here anymore.

And he'll let down his guard.

And that's what I want.

Summer contacted me yesterday, telling me that everything is fine there. She bought a new phone. By the way, she has gone to South Korea. She always said how beautiful it was and that she always wanted to visit it.

Anyway, I have to plot a really good plan in these months. I can't just sit around and let the time pass.

Cassie came to me as I sat on the sofa.

"Nick," she said whilst sitting beside me. "Are you okay?"

"What happened to me?" I asked, looking at her.

"You seem... Off?"

"Off? No!"

"Okay, good," she said and stood up. "Actually, Nick. I wanted your permission"

"Hm for what?" I asked.

"Not today!" she yelled angrily.

"Cas... look. Don't forget you are not my real sister. You are just here because you are an orphan!" I accidentally spat. I regretted it because I saw her getting sad. "I can-"

"What? Assault me??" she yelled.

"I-I didn't say that! Please, Cas leave"

"Fine!" she left the room.

Just a few more months, you won't be in danger anymore, Cassie.

I will end this, very soon.

Hailey's POV

I was waiting for him and at exactly 3:25, the door opened and Robert came inside. With a smile plastered on my face, I looked at him, and he returned the smile.

"Hey," he said. "Are you okay? Why so happy?"

"Um... because I made a plan as to how to spend time with you?" I said as I got up from the couch.

"Oh really? Tell me" he said while taking a seat down.

"Hm... it is a surprise, Robert," I said as if it was the most common thing.

"Okay then" he got up. "Let's go"

"Hey! Wait-- not right now" I said as he looked at me confused. "First lunch!" I reminded him.
