"I was thinking maybe we can get them special necklaces. Just from us. Something they can keep for a long time?"

"I like that. I'll look into it." He kissed my belly one last time before standing and leaning down to give me a kiss.

"I'll be home early today I want to talk to you about something."

"Why can't you talk about it now?" I frowned.

"Because I have to go now or I'll be late. I see you later, love you."

He kissed me again and was out the door. The girls came running in then each of them holding their arms up. Laughing I picked them both up and placed them on the bed beside me.

"Luke?" Alyssa asked.

"He's at work baby."

Alyssa gave a deep sigh as if I was trying to make her life difficult.

"Juice?" Alicia asked crawling into my lap. I cuddled her close and kissed the top of her head. She was so quiet now, only talking to ask for something. Five minutes with her asshole of a mate already had her little spirit crushed.

I prayed one day this would fade from her little mind.

Later in the day while the girls were taking nap I was doing laundry when the front door opened. Confused I left the laundry room. "Adain is that you? I didn't think you'd be back this early."

When my eyes met the exact copy of my own I froze. Stan stood the doorway with such a forlorn look on his face that my heart clenched.

Before I could say anything he lifted his hands as if to show me he meant no harm.

"I'm not here to hurt anyone I swear. I just wanted to talk to you alone without.....him. I just wanted to protect you and the girls. To know that animal...man lived with you could hurt you at any moment. Hurt the girls."

"You know Adain Stan. He loves me and the twins, he's their father for god sake's. He would never hurt them. I know what he is what the girls are because of him. I love him, he loves me."

"You knew?"

I nodded.

"Your okay with it?"

"I love him."

He stared at me tears filling his eyes. "I'm so sorry. So sorry, I never meant to hurt you, I just wanted to protect you. That's all I ever wanted. "

"I know."

I ran forward and hugged him. He hugged me back and pressed his face into my hair.

"So sorry." He repeated over and over.

We hugged for along time before pulling apart and wiping our tears.

"So werewolf's huh?"

I laughed and smiled at him amused. "I think we have a lot to talk about."
