His Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 3

"ROYAL POV

I ran my hand through my hair for the fifth time this morning, not necessarily ran because it got stuck every time, but hey that's the besides the point, right? My father is starting to piss me off with this damn business he wants me to take over, it's bad enough that I'm next in like to be alpha and for me that is my number one priority, well finding my mate is but my pack comes first as of right now.

"Look son. The pack house is full. Later on this week we'll have to see what's going on down there. Plus there was some rouges around here." he said as I nodded listening to him tell me all the thing I already know and have been fixing it since last week. What he didn't know is that I've already having the pack house extended and I already had the blueprint ready.

I clenched my jaw as he kept talking because I knew it was going down a different hole. First he's talking about the pack, and then he goes on about the business that he runs up in town. I didn't want anything to do with it until it was time, but this is my dad for crying out loud. He seriously doesn't take no for an answer, especially with my senior year starting, it was stressful.

"I'm going for a walk." I cut him off growling through gritted teeth standing up. My mother smiled at me nodding. She understood because my father always needed her help. That's the problem. I don't have my damn mate to help me at this moment. It's helpless that I keep trying to find her, but she's no place to be found, like she's hiding from me. It was my senior year of high school just starting and once I turn eighteen I'll be the Alpha. I am kind of Alpha, but not fully. Some responsibilities are mine, some my dad.

"Hey man, you coming over?" Landon asks as I pick up my ringing phone.

"Yeah, I'm coming over right now." I let him know hanging up the phone and changing my course of directions.

Landon, Liam and Levi were my best friends and the brothers I never had. Those Boys were one crazy bunch of siblings. Levi was going to be my Beta once I take over, the reason is Liam didn't want to and Landon claims its too much work which Levi was happy for the position, and I was glad to have him. I walk in the house and was greeted by a smell I've never smelt before. I moan internally ready to chase down the smell.

"Man, what smells so good?" I ask Levi as he greets me at the door with a smirk shrugging.

"Don't know, don't care and don't be too loud because you know how Leah is in love with you." He says as I nod grimacing, Leah was cute, but not my mate and she sure as hell won't get that through her head.

We go up to the third floor of their house and we went into the game room. I realize that when we got to the third floor the scent was stronger up there. It sent me off to la la land, holy shit. I was going to follow it but I feel Landon pull me into the room.

"Man, are you sure y'all didn't bring something in here to smell good?" I ask, Liam and Levi gave me a look as Landon frowned.

"Okay, Nicki is on her way. I suppose she's your mate since you keep talking about her scent. I swear to god, when you two get together no touchy touchy. Hold hands and hugging. That's it." Landon said as I nod, I was a love sick puppy right now and I didn't care what I was agreeing to. Even though I was Alpha he was her brother, but that's not stopping me, I just wanted to see her.

"Guys, I might be going crazy but there is this intoxicating smell and it just wont go away." 'Nicki' walks in not noticing me as she rambles on. "Please tell me what the smell is because goddamn -"

This girl was my mate. She was so angelic and beautiful. She had freckles that scattered across her nose and under her eyes. Her skin was paler that a normal wolf. That's not the cutest thing though, it was her hair. Her hair was dark red and curly and wild, which made it seem like she just got out of bed. She was only wearing a tank top and shorts with a lot of bracelets all across her arms. I trail my eyes over her naked legs taking in all the muscles definitions she had going on, fuck I'm a lucky one.

"Maybe if you shush for a second you could see who smell so good." Liam says pointing at me. She stops and her eyes widen and she smiles softly at me. I wink at her as she blushes and puts her hands to cover her face.

"I uh, have to walk the dog." she says quickly running out the room.

"She's shy. When we first met her took us a month just for her to speak one sentence." Levi explains smiling.

"Why is she so pale? Even a wolf that lives where there isn't sun skin is tan." I ask as Landon smiles.

"Who is it?" She gushed looking at me as I smile.

"Uh, I don't know his name, but he's upstairs with the boys." I tell her.

"Oh my goodness! It's Royal!" she squeaks. I widen my eyes at her outburst covering her mouth.

"Not so loud. He could hear you." I whisper to her. She nods smiling as I take my hand off her mouth.

"So tell me all what happened." She exclaims in a whisper.

"Well I was trying to read in the library when the scent hit me like a Ton of bricks. I thought to myself that you guys were just cooking something but when I went in the hall, the scent was leading to the game room, which I knew the boys didn't bring cooked food in there." I tell her and she laughs a little. I explain all about what I thought of him and she was just as excited as I was, except I was struggling to keep it contained.

"You should've seen when Landon found his mate. He was so in love with her and still is. Even though he's here most of the time, he sneaks out just to see her." Candice tells me And that brings a smile to my face.

"It makes my wolf all happy and my insides all mushy." I tell her as she laughs pulling me in a side hug.

"Yup, that's exactly how you should feel, it's very normal. Your mate should make you feel all of that and more."
