Chris's message was still on her phone, and the man's promise to start taking care of the wedding preparations with her once he returned to Carrington Bay made some of the burden she had been carrying for the past week slowly ease.

Lydia, who was enjoying her breakfast, immediately noticed the change. She raised her head and watched Naomi for a few seconds before smiling.

"You look different this morning."

Naomi pulled out a chair. "Different how?"

"Brighter."

"I'm just happy."

Cale, who was sitting across from Lydia, immediately glanced at her. "Did Chris message you?"

Naomi paused for a moment. "Why did you immediately mention his name?"

"Because you've been smiling to yourself."

"I'm not smiling to myself," Naomi protested. She sat down with a pout.

Lydia held back a laugh. "You are smiling."

Naomi looked between the two of them. "You two pay too much attention to other people."

Cale calmly lifted his coffee cup. "It's hard not to notice you when you look like someone who just found out she's going to receive a gift."

"I only found out that my future husband is coming home."

"So it is because of Chris."

Naomi immediately snorted. "Whatever."

Lydia chuckled at the sight of Naomi's face beginning to turn red.

There was a simple happiness in seeing the girl like this. After everything she had been through, seeing Naomi smiling so easily again made Lydia feel relieved. She knew there were still many things Naomi would have to go through before she truly became accustomed to her new life, but at least that morning, there was no heavy burden visible on her face.

"What did Chris say?" Lydia asked.

"He'll help me take care of the wedding preparations starting tomorrow."

"Good," Lydia replied. "You've been handling too much of it on your own."

"Once you're with Chris, send the driver home."

Naomi stared at the key for a few seconds. Then her smile returned, even wider than before.

That simple gesture suddenly felt so meaningful. Cale was not merely giving her a vehicle. He was treating her like an older brother who wanted to make sure his younger sister would not have to trouble herself and could return safely with someone he trusted.

Without thinking twice, Naomi turned around and approached Cale. She immediately hugged him.

Cale fell silent for a moment, not expecting the sudden hug. "What are you doing?"

Naomi chuckled softly. "You're the best brother I have."

Cale gently flicked Naomi's forehead. "Don't say that just because I gave you a car."

Naomi released her hug and quickly shook her head. "It's not because of the car." She gripped the key more tightly. "It's because you actually care and often treat me like your little sister."

Cale's expression softened. He did not say much, only giving a small nod. "Yeah. Then go. Don't keep your future husband waiting."

Naomi smiled brightly. "I'm going now, Cale." Then, without thinking twice, she kissed Cale on the cheek. She immediately grabbed her bag and left just like that, leaving Cale stunned by Naomi's behavior.
