“So this is the last unit available on the twentieth floor?” the middle-aged man asked from across the table. He closed the folder containing the project brochure they had been discussing.

“That’s correct,” Lydia replied calmly. She sat upright; her hands neatly folded on the meeting table. “The unit has a direct view of the bay. That’s why the price is slightly higher than the units on the other side.”

The man nodded slowly, still considering.

“And what about access to the facilities?” asked the woman sitting beside him—most likely his wife.

Lydia immediately slid the tablet in front of her toward them and brought up the building’s floor plan.

“The swimming pool and gym are located on the fifth floor,” she explained. “The residents’ private lounge is on the thirtieth floor. For the unit you’re considering, there’s also direct elevator access to the parking area.”

The woman looked intrigued. “And security?”

“Two layers of security,” Lydia answered without hesitation. “Resident key-card access and facial verification for certain areas. That way, unauthorized people can’t simply walk in.”

The man leaned back in his chair. After a few seconds of thought, he said, “I like the concept. The location is strategic as well.”

Lydia gave a small, professional smile. “This area of SunCity is developing rapidly. The investment value will continue to rise over the next few years.”

The woman closed the folder in her hands. “In that case, let’s proceed with the process,” she said to her husband.

The man nodded in agreement. “All right. We’ll take the unit.”

Lydia inclined her head politely. “An excellent decision.”

She immediately called her assistant, who had been waiting quietly on the side of the room. “Please prepare the reservation documents for unit 20B.”

“As soon as possible, Miss Lydia.”

Within minutes, the documents were placed neatly on the table. Lydia went over several key points before the prospective buyers finally signed the reservation forms.

“Thank you for entrusting your investment to our project,” Lydia said professionally.

“We should be the ones thanking you,” the man replied. “Your explanation was very clear.”

They shook hands before the couple eventually left the meeting room.

As soon as the door closed behind them, Lydia let out a quiet breath and leaned back in her chair for a moment. The meeting lasted nearly two hours, and at last the deal had been secured.

She reached for the glass of water on the table and finished it in one long sip. Just as she was about to stand, her phone vibrated softly on the table. The screen lit up with a name she knew very well.

Lydia let out a short breath before opening the message.

Just two words. No explanation. No follow-up. Lydia lifted an eyebrow slightly. It wasn’t unusual for her boyfriend to send messages like that, but still…
