But now? Naomi was starting to get bored. Her fingers paused over a stack of documents before she finally let out a quiet sigh.

"I'm starting to get bored."

Lydia, who had been busy working on a design on her tablet, finally looked up. A slight frown appeared on her forehead when she saw Naomi's expression.

"Bored?"

Naomi nodded and leaned back in her chair.

"I'm not doing anything." Her gaze drifted toward the large window overlooking the mansion's backyard. "I wake up. Have breakfast. Read a book. Watch something. Then do it all over again the next day. It was enjoyable at first, but now it feels too quiet."

Lydia fell silent for a moment. Strangely enough, she understood that feeling very well.

Because in the past, after taking a temporary break from work, Lydia had felt the same way. Days that were too empty could gradually make a person lose their sense of direction. Even though that period of emptiness had been necessary for her recovery after the accident, it was still different.
