Don Falcon.

He stopped exactly one meter in front of Naomi, who sat limply on the ground. His gaze was cold, devoid of any trace of human emotion, while a faint, contemptuous smile curved at the corner of his lips. Naomi stared back at him with profound hatred, a kind of rage she had never experienced in her life.

"I'll go with you... I won't run," Naomi said, her voice trembling violently as she struggled to hold back her tears and anger. "Just don't hurt Mrs. Lydia anymore. Let someone come and get her."

Falcon did not answer immediately. He merely looked at Naomi as though she were an interesting little insect, making her cry even harder in despair. "If I'm really the one you're after, then why did you have to hurt her like that?!"

A suffocating silence once again settled over the deserted road, broken only by Daniel's restrained groans as he continued fighting in the distance and the heavy breathing of the masked men. Then Falcon slowly lowered his gaze, the smile on his lips widening into something far colder and crueler than before. Tilting his head slightly, he looked at Naomi with a mocking expression that sent chills down her spine.

"So..." Falcon paused, allowing the full weight of his words to sink into Naomi's mind. "Who told you that you were our primary target today, Little Girl?"

Naomi's breath caught instantly in her throat, her heart seeming to stop at the sound of his icy voice.

Falcon then glanced toward Lydia, who, with the last of her strength, was still trying to push herself up on one elbow despite her face now being covered in blood and road dust.

"From the moment this plan was laid out at the banquet table... the woman over there, Cale Miller's wife, was always the primary target we were ordered to take in order to bring down Carrington Bay."
