Cale gave a brief nod. "Do everything."

Not long afterward, another operative under Vincent's command reported that they had found Daniel severely injured and were rushing him to the hospital.

Cale immediately looked up. "Show me."

Vincent quickly connected his tablet to the screen mounted on the back of the front seat. The recording, which lasted less than thirty seconds, began playing immediately.

A black van was the first vehicle to leave the scene. About fifteen seconds later, it was followed by a dark-colored SUV. The license plates on both vehicles were completely unreadable.

"Zoom in."

The technician at the command center immediately enlarged the image as instructed, but the result remained the same.

"I believe the license plates were deliberately concealed, sir."

Cale clenched his jaw. "They planned every detail."

"I believe so."

Before the footage had even finished playing, another officer's voice came through the line.

"Charlie Team reporting."

Vincent immediately responded. "Go ahead."

"We managed to obtain additional footage from the traffic camera at the East Riverside Roundabout."

Vincent immediately looked at Cale. "The same vehicles?"

"We believe so, Mr. Vincent."

"Their last known location?" Vincent asked, glancing toward Cale.
