Not to mention Alex. He intrigued me. To say I was curious to learn more about him and his past was an understatement, and I found myself constantly wondering how he dealt with it all. There were so many questions about him in my head. Like he must have been bullied too, but how did he survive it? And most importantly, why did he help me?

The real problem was, I wanted to try and see if things were going to be better now that I had a place to sit at lunch and people to talk to. That would mean I would have to go to school and suffer through junior and senior year. Could I really deal with all of the bullying for another year and a half?

"Louisa?"

Dylan's voice snapped me back to the present. I frowned, telling them what has been on my mind, "I'm just trying to decide if I really want to be homeschooled or not, that's all."

"What!" Oliver's screamed, "No fair, I want to be homeschooled!"

"Well I don't want to leave school," Dylan countered, "So you have to choose homeschool or me."

"What? Dylan, you don't mean that!"

"Yes, I do."

"I hate school! I would much rather spend time with Louisa."

"But we still need to learn!"

They kept bickering back and forth before I decided I'd had enough. "Boys!" I yelled, and immediately they shut up and listened to me. "Neither of you are being homeschooled. You are staying in school and that is final."

Oliver started whining again, "But why do you get to?"

I frowned. What do I say? I can't tell them that I'm bullied at school for being blind. "Well...I- " I started to form a sentence before the doorbell rang. Saved by the bell.

"I'll get it!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.

A few seconds passed by while Dylan, Oliver, and I were sitting on my bed, trying to hear the conversation downstairs. When we couldn't hear what was happening, I told the boys quietly to see who it was. They accepted the mission, crawling off my bed and opening the door slowly, not making a sound.

It was a while before they came back, but when they spoke I could hear the smile in their voices, "Louisa, it's for you." They said together.

Although I knew my house like the back of my hand, the boys always led me around, especially now that I didn't have my walking stick with me. It was so cute how they were always so protective even when they were so much younger than me. When I got to my bedroom door, Dylan took my right hand and Oliver took my left like always, and they walked with me down the stairs.

After what seemed like an agonizingly long trip down the stairs, the boys finally positioned me by the door, standing at my side. "Hello?" I said, more like a question than a greeting.
