"I don't think this is Vodka they're handing out. I'm pretty sure it's moonshine," I retorted.
"So?" Nick shrugged, his clouded mind obviously wasn't realizing what was wrong with this situation.
"Nick, moonshine is like poison. Too much of it can kill a person!!" I said snatching his drink out of his hand. I was thankful I only had a couple of small sips.
"We have to find Mia. She's been drinking that stuff all night. "I said pushing my way through the sweaty bodies. With my hand holding tightly onto Nicks. It didn't take long to find her since she was standing next to the little bar in the kitchen. I snatched the drink out of her hand the second it was brought to her lips.
"No more," I said adamantly. She burped in my face loudly and giggled.
"I'd say that was a good one mate," she said her words slurring together at the same time she tried to do an Australian accent. She was usually pretty good at the accent but due to the unfortunate intake of alcohol it seemed like she was trying to mock them or something.
"This good-for-nothing asshole has been serving you moonshine," I told her, and she gasped dramatically before bursting out in a fit of giggles. I throw the drink at the guy and ignored his comments that involved probably every curse word to ever exist.
"Let's go get you some water," I said as she stumbled a little standing up. I didn't even bother getting a water bottle knowing they probably were filled with something else.
"Hey Caiden said he's ready to go," Tom said.
"Did he drink a lot?"
"No, we played beer pong but he gave me all of his drinks." Tom shrugged, he seemed to be able to hold his alcohol very well. Tom helped me lead Mia outside after getting her a plastic cup with water. Nick easily followed us only tripping on his feet a few times.
"Finally," Caiden said when he seen us. I put Mia in the backseat of the car buckling her up.
"I am a grown adult!" Mia said and rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, a drunk adult," Caiden said checking the time on his phone. Impatiently.
"I'm drunk and I love it," she yelled throwing her hands up in the air. I didn't respond and shut the car door.
"In a hurry?" I questioned.
"He has a midnight hook up," Tom said pushing Nick in the car.
"No, I don't," Caiden retorted rolling his eyes. I ended up stuck next to him in the passenger seat. Right as he started the car I gasped opening the door and jumping out.
"What the fuck are you doing?!"
"We forgot Nathan!" I sighed in relief when I saw him on his way to the car.
"Where have you been?" I asked.
"Playing truth or dare," he responded I could tell he has definitely been drinking by the way he was walking. I smiled knowing all of my friends enjoyed them self also. It was nice to all get out and away from school. Once Nathan was in the car with Mia on his lap we were finally ready to go.
"Let me smell your breath," I say to Caiden before he starts driving.
"What?" he retorted and I repeated my statement before. He rolled his eyes and blew his breath in my face.
"There's no gas in it," he said, obviously trying to hold back his irritation.
"So can we call someone?" Tom asked and Caiden turned his usual glare to him instead.
"We're out in the middle of nowhere. We are better off walking and getting our own gas we'll be sitting out here all night waiting for someone. There should be a gas station about thirty minutes away in walking time so I'll go get some gas and come back so we can get away from the slut and her fucking friend," Caiden said slamming the car door.
"Wait he can't go alone! It's like two in the morning! He could get raped by some creeper or stolen or even I don't know!"
"Well you can't take care of a bunch of drunks by yourself so I have to stay here either way. Why don't you go with him?" Tom suggested shrugging and I bit my lip watching a muscular back start to disappear into the dark.
"Fine, lock the doors and we'll be back soon," I say quickly rushing out of the car and running toward Caiden's disappearing figure.
"Why the fuck are you coming with me?"
"Because it's not safe to walk alone on a deserted street in the middle of the night."
"It's two-fifteen."
"It's almost the middle of the night."
"Just don't talk and we won't have a problem."
