My mother would kill me right now.
Not before my dad.
I didn't even want to think of that.
The engines started up and quickly sped off toward the car. Bandana decided to start conversation and said,
"Your boyfriend seems a little possessive."
"He's not my boyfriend," I reply curtly.
"Are you single then?"
"No, my boyfriend is back at the car," I responded, keeping an eye out for Mia's car. Bandana drove faster so he was driving next to Leather. I'm pretty sure it was illegal but they didn't seem to care.
"Well I don't know the guy you're dating, but you and blonde seem like a good match," he yelled over the wind. Caiden's eyes snapped over to mine to see my reaction or to maybe mentally call me a slut, I wasn't sure but what I did know for a fact was that the car was coming close.
"He would never date a slut like me," I answered for him which seemed to amuse Caiden. For most people, they wouldn't joke about such a thing and would get offended. Me, on the other hand, I have a best friend who I joke back and forth with, calling each other hoes. Caiden's killed any sense of meaning to the word, I just need to wait until I could read the underlying message with it.
"Not even in my after life," Caiden yelled, trying to hold back a smile. I was starting to think he did drink by all the smiles he was flashing. Although it was only two the first was genuine and unintentional but this second one was almost automatic. Was there actually a heart underneath that cold exterior? I guess the world would never know. But I knew for a fact I'd find out somehow. Did he flash smiles around just his friends? Did he joke around? No, I could answer that one easily. Caiden didn't seem like the type to ever make jokes.
"For some reason I don't believe that," Leather yelled and Bandana nodded in agreement.
"It seems like the girl wouldn't mind dating you. After all she never disagreed about you two being a good match," Bandana said as they both pulled over so they were right in front of the car. Shutting off the bikes I let out a small laugh.
"Nah I would never date him. He has too much baggage," I responded truthfully and Caiden immediately responded by putting up a facade expression. I wouldn't lie over that after all it was the truth. He hides himself behind a cold exterior and just by that I could see he has plenty of baggage.
"That's a part of the job description. It's your job as his girl to help him take some of that baggage off," Bandana retorted.
"You can stop talking about me like I'm not here," Caiden said curtly getting off the bike. I followed his action and watched a he went over and unscrewed the gasp caps and started to fill up the car with gas. Tom walked out of the car and stretched his arms above his head.
"Is this the boyfriend?" Bandana asked nodding his head toward Tom and I shook my head.
"No," I turned my head and nodded toward the car." Did anyone wake up?"
"Only Nathan and he was a nervous wreck about you. He thought Caiden would kill you," Caiden snorted," I had to convince him he wouldn't till he fell back asleep."
"I would never hurt a girl unless I had to," Caiden said his face showing he was completely serious.
"Hey you, don't ya think those two would be a good couple," Leather pitched in and Tom started to laugh.
"No, those two can't even stand next to each other for more than five minutes without call each other an asshole or a slut," he stated. "Plus she's dating my other best friend Nick."
"And I don't know why any girl would ever date him. He has a new girl in his bed every hour," I pointed out.
"How would you know that? Do you live with him or something?" Bandana asked. My eyes widened and I thought they were serious till they all started laughing.
"One of my best friends does and he tells me how awful he is," I said, shooting him a glare.
"Well then I have advice for you blondie, Keep the banana in its peel my boy and join me in a prayer because you definitely need Jesus." I burst out laughing and gave bandana a high five.
"You should be my new best friend," I said holding my stomach and Caiden grunted.
"I'm tired let's go." Caiden got in the driver's seat and started the car.
"Well it was nice meeting you guys and thank you so much for the ride!" I said, opening the passenger door.
"You can repay us by getting together with blondie."
"You do realize we're both blondes right?" I said slowly pointing to my curled blonde hair and to Caiden's blonde hair that was coiffed and curled.
"Yea, but he's blondie and you're his girl." I sent them a fierce glare." Goodbye." I slammed my car door getting in and Caiden glanced at me.
"Mia only had one single bed and Nathan took that her up to her room and stayed with her."
"I could have taken the couch."
"As heartless as I usually am I'm feeling generous today," he said, heading toward the door.
"Wait! Where are you going?"
"To my room," he said slowly as if I was dumb.
"Which room are you staying in?" I asked and he turned his head to look back at my now sitting up figure. His hand was clutching the handle to the door.
"I'm staying with Tom and Nick. Anymore questions?" he asked irritably.
"I actually have a statement, I don't want to stay in this room all alone." Call me weird, but I didn't like staying in an unfamiliar place by myself
"Go ask the guy at the desk to stay with you."
"For the billionth time I'm not a slut!" I said, standing up, completely forgetting about sleeping and my spot that was just starting to get warm.
"Can you just go to bed?" he asked, running his hands down his face.
"Someone could break in!" I said and he clutched his head with his hands tightly and irately
"I'll stay! But don't expect me to sleep with you baby doll. I won't hurt Nick like that," he said, moving toward the couch and I glared furiously at him. I almost brought up the time he asked 'Jason' to break us up but decided against it.
"Thank you and stop calling me baby doll." I jumped back on the comfortable bed and sighed in relief. I didn't get a response but I wasn't expecting one. Today was probably the most I've ever heard Caiden talk and the most I've ever talked to him. I wish I could say behind that cold exterior was a nice guy but I honestly couldn't.
"Good night, Caiden," I said, closing my eyes.
"Good night, baby doll," I heard him say after a few minutes. Maybe I could break his shell, but only by being me.
